Quiet riverside site, pool nearby

A very beautiful and spacious motorhome area, a 10-minute walk from an exceptionally beautiful village. We fell in love with this place in Germany. Many thanks to the municipality for making this space available to motorhomes for the modest sum of €10.✦Translating

Very nice camping area; we spent a wonderfully peaceful night here. The old town is within walking distance, the outdoor pool is next door, and there are lovely walking routes for dogs. We were here again!! Quiet but close to town, clean, plenty of space, well-maintained grass, and everything you need. The price is reasonable too. The site attendant comes by in the evening; if not, you simply put the amount in the mailbox at the station on trust. It couldn't be easier! This is exactly what we expect from a motorhome site. We don't need a toilet or shower because we have those in the motorhome. The bins are large enough unless local residents come and stuff them full. The water and waste facilities can be accessed separately, even by large vehicles. I don't understand the comment about them being rudimentary. They are perfectly adequate and clean. What more could I want? And the price is really cheap!!✦Translating

We have stayed at this site countless times, twice for gatherings of our motorhome group. The site is simply ideal: on the edge of the forest, without fixed pitches, quiet, firm ground with grass, and endless space, even for the largest vehicles with trailers. And the new operator, Tom Hahne, who has been here since January 1, 2025, is excellent.✦Translating

We stayed here from August 14 to 15. Unfortunately, loud music from the immediate neighborhood played until after 2 a.m. The last time, six years ago, we paid €7 plus €2 for electricity; now it is €10 plus €3 for electricity, without any added value compared with 2019. The water and waste facilities are still rudimentary but work. The Eder floodplain is great for walking the dog and cooling off in the Eder.✦Translating

Huge site! Payment is very easy via the mailbox (€10 per night). Unfortunately, trains pass nearby and constantly honk. Perhaps only temporarily because of construction work? This continued until 9 p.m. and started again at 6 a.m. About one or two trains per hour, so still bearable.✦Translating

Really a great site, especially for passing through. You can drive in 24/7 and pay via the mailbox. The website explains everything again as well. Because the site is so large, there was still plenty of space. We didn't need gray water, fresh water, etc., so I can't comment on those. The night was very peaceful too.✦Translating

Very nicely located motorhome site by the old town. You occasionally hear the train, but it's okay. Everything is within easy walking distance. Payment is easy using the envelopes provided. We will be back.

Original-style motorhome site without frills and with everything you need. €10 per night. Electricity is a flat €3, but only 6 amps, so making coffee can be a challenge... Very friendly and committed operator; his motorhome is also parked there. Great that you aren't forced to leave the next day, though you should move your vehicle a few meters to free up the electricity connection for the next guests. We would gladly return.

Simple but good and quiet motorhome site for little money. Swimming pool next door. Beautiful old town within walking distance. Cycle paths and forest walking routes are right nearby. We come here often and are happy to return.
