Paid parking, overnight ban

What a waste. These spaces will probably remain empty from now on. No wonder, given the prices, which are completely incomprehensible and even outrageous. A shame, Lübeck; you can do better.

20 Euro for a parking slot with NO facilities. One advantage only is that it is close to the old town. A big, beautiful town like Lübeck can do much better than this.

Two doctor's visits in the morning, and that for €40. Simply outrageous, as there is no infrastructure for motorhomes and the parking spaces are very narrow.

Two points for the possibility of parking close to the city centre and, with some luck, having a view of the water. Otherwise: €20 for a relatively noisy site with small parking bays, poor security and privacy, and no motorhome-specific infrastructure. An outrageous price.

This is gradually becoming questionable. We used to enjoy coming here often, but now it costs €20 instead of €6? No thanks. If they don't want us, we'll go somewhere else.

The public-order office, or at least some of its female employees, tells lies and is regularly reprimanded by the city for it, as the city itself confirmed to me. Just ignore them. The location is excellent for the MUK or the city; the road can cause noise, but we barely heard anything and were even parked 'upstairs' in the roundabout, not down by the water. Still, €20 for nothing and a minimum of 24 hours is too expensive.

Even simply parking for a few hours, for example for a three-hour sightseeing tour, costs the minimum charge of €20. Thanks, but I'm out. I'll park 1 km farther along the roadside and take parking spaces away from local residents. I would gladly have paid the €6 for a few hours as before.

We were just kindly informed by a public-order officer that only parking is permitted here, not overnight stays. The fine is supposed to be €250! We will move the vehicle later. Many thanks to the friendly person.

A reasonably good place if you need to spend one night.

€20 in cash, coins only; €26 with EasyPark and €20 with Parkster, for noise until 5:30 a.m.—simply outrageous! Cars occupy the spaces intended for motorhomes and squeeze into the smallest gaps, and when we complained, we were insulted. The one star is for the proximity to the old town.

We had a quiet night from Saturday to Sunday. The city centre and Holstentor are nearby. The spaces on Kanalstrasse were not suitable for our 8-metre motorhome.

A terrible place! Loud music day and night; sleeping was impossible. No water or waste disposal facilities. Lübeck should be ashamed of charging €20. We wanted to stay 2–3 days, but after the first night we quickly left. Even one star is too much!

The value for money is no longer acceptable. From €6 for the weekend to €20 per day or €40 for the weekend, without any added value. The site was never very attractive: you park tightly packed, it is noisy, and garbage collectors wake you in the morning. We like shopping and dining here, but in future we will spend our money in other cities.

There is no option to pay for only a few hours, so we paid €20 for three hours. What a shame, Lübeck; you are doing something wrong here. We will no longer stop in your city. Bad for local businesses, since they are losing revenue. Think about it.

We came here knowing the parking price (€20 for 24 hours). For us, it was perfect: the city centre is right next door, just across the bridge. There was not much traffic at night, so I do not agree that it is noisy. Perhaps it is noisier at weekends. I am grateful that the city provides parking so close to the centre, as many cities turn motorhomes away.

For many years we spent nights here either coming from the ferry from Sweden or heading to the ferry, and left good money in the city through shopping and restaurant visits. The lack of services and the location by the road did not bother us for €6. You get what you pay for. €20 is far too much, so we are turning our backs on Lübeck.

Sad; we often shopped here in Lübeck and loved the restaurants. Not anymore. The city should think about how it treats tourists.

With EasyPark, I was required to pay €17.

The price was increased from €6 to €20—outrageous. More services from the city of Lübeck as a result? None: no water, no wastewater disposal, nothing. EasyPark seems to be a pseudonym for Expensive Park. Otherwise, good central location. But it is also noisy, with traffic noise and noise from passers-by.

It is a shame that motorhome travellers are no longer wanted here. Fortunately, there are other beautiful cities, some of which even provide free spaces.

The location is great; the city centre is 10 minutes away. Unfortunately, since June 1, 2025, there is no free overnight parking from Saturday at 6 p.m. or on Sunday; the minimum is €20 for 24 hours. It is best to book through Parkster and arrive before 5 p.m. After that, there were no parking spaces left. Be aware that it can become very noisy in the evening, as young people go out in the area and are loud.

You have to pay for 24 hours, €23 with EasyPark. We parked here from Saturday to Sunday, which was not the brightest idea in hindsight. Anyone with a bit of common sense knows that a city is not quiet on a Saturday night. Nobody got much sleep because sirens and drunk people frequently passed by the site.

Great parking area for spending one night. Very good location for the city centre. The price is €20 for 24 hours. Compared with nearby parking prices, that is absolutely reasonable. You can also pay by card. There is definitely enough space for many motorhomes. The noise was limited; quite quiet for a car park in the middle of the city.

For a woman travelling alone: don't do it! I arrived at 10 p.m. but drove on after half an hour.

Warning: new price, €20 per day! A lot of money for an ordinary parking lot, even if it is conveniently located. We drove on.

Beware of the cost: €23 without services. Pay with EasyPark using the car rate if you are staying during the day to spend less. Convenient for visiting the city, but for the night go to the campsite a few kilometres outside the centre and take the bus.

A place close to the centre. And, as is often the case when it is close to the centre, it is quite noisy—but you can't have everything.

Parking island between two roads. The city is easily reachable on foot. €6 for one day, free overnight, without any services. But it is fine for one night. Thank you to the city for providing parking.

Great location. Several car parks. 5-10 mins walk from the centre. Had a restful and quiet night. Free between 18:00-10:00 however it is easier to park for the day as this is only €7.

Excellent place to visit the old part of the city. There are no sanitary facilities or anything else, but if you are self-sufficient, you can park for 24 hours for €10. You can pay at the machine with coins or notes. There are special spaces for campers. It gets fairly busy, so arriving early is recommended. There is some traffic, but it decreases in the evening. All in all, fine.

Thanks to the municipality: for €6 you can park for 24 hours, allowing you to visit the city at your leisure. The three parking areas reserved for motorhomes fill up quickly, so it is better to arrive in the morning. Elsewhere in the city it is impossible to park. A beautiful city worth seeing.
