This wild spot beside a lake reservoir offers magnificent views of Vatnajökull, Snaefell and the surrounding plateau lakes. Access follows 13 km of paved road, about 1 km of gravel road and a final 50 m gravel stretch suitable for normal motorhomes. It was completely solitary with no passing cars, but strong wind made sleeping difficult.

The spot is next to a lake reservoir. The view at the glacier and the mountains is awesome. It was very windy this night so we couldn’t get a lot of sleep. No car passed by we were all alone.
