38 Passeig de la Devesa, 17001, Girona
Been here?
A wide parking strip between the river and Parc de la Devesa, close to Girona’s old town and the cathedral. It can be quiet at night but busy during the day, often filling by morning; parking is prohibited on Tuesdays and Saturdays because of the market. Recent reports raise concerns about security after dark, so leaving the vehicle unattended overnight may be risky. Fresh water is available elsewhere in the park, not beside the parking.

We came here on a Sunday at 11:30 a.m.; the parking lot was almost empty, so there was no problem parking along the wooden bollards despite our 7.5 m length. The parking lot was full when we left at 3 p.m. It borders a park with trees where the dog can really enjoy itself. Cathedral 600 m away.Translating
We stayed here for one night. When we arrived around 6pm it was very quiet, but to be honest we didn’t feel the area was particularly safe. By the next morning the parking was completely full, and we felt a bit uncomfortable taking up multiple spaces with our 6.5m motorhome. During the night there was quite a bit of traffic coming and going, so we didn’t sleep very peacefully.
Beautiful location. Keep in mind that parking is not allowed on Tuesdays and Saturdays because of the market. The police checked that parked cars on both sides of the road were not facing the wrong way. Our 6 m camper fit in a space between the cars. Nothing was said to longer campers parked across the spaces. Quiet at night; from 8 a.m. the next morning it was full of cars again. Old town within walking distance.Translating
We stayed one day and night with a large camper. Plenty of space during the day with direct access to the old town, 15 minutes away. Open parking area, many cars and many people, so it felt safe. At night: no cars and no people, with a risk of break-in. After sunset, I would not leave the vehicle here unattended! A black Hyundai i20, plate 8065 MKG, drove up and down every two hours and looked into cars!Translating
It is a pleasant place to spend the night and the day. About 20 minutes from the city center. Many cars in the morning; spaces start becoming available around 1 p.m. You will have a better chance of finding a spot from mid-afternoon onward.Translating
You can park either horizontally or vertically. Very close to the center. Very busy during the day. Very quiet at night.Translating
There were only four of us. The police advised us to go to the proper camper parking area, which was fairly full. We drove back here in the evening. Quiet until around 7:30 a.m., when cars arrive for work. No problems.Translating
A bit tricky to park 6m long camper. we came back, van on its place and windows are fine :)
Spent two nights here. I have not found a more beautiful and peaceful place in a city in years.Translating
No problems during the day, but around 4 a.m. a guy tried to get into our van—not great.Translating
Very quiet and with plenty of parking spaces, at least in September. A 15-minute walk from the center. The municipal swimming pool is open all day, but showers costing €1.60 are only accessible from 6 p.m.Translating
Wide parking space; we had plenty of room with a motorhome just under 7 m. We stayed until 6:30 p.m. but would not stay overnight.Translating
Very suitable for visiting the city.Translating
good parking. the shower isn't available until after 20:00
Good place to stop for a rest and/or meal. It is spacious and has a shaded picnic area. Recommended. Note that parking is not allowed on Tuesdays and Saturdays because of the market.Translating
Great parking for visiting Girona! Ten minutes on foot from the historic center, with some shaded spaces, and free. A gem in the city center! Markets on Tuesdays and Saturdays, so it is closed on those days.Translating
Spot suitable for all types of vehicles, very quiet and close to the city. We spent the night there without any problems. Be careful: parking is prohibited on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. because of the market. The police arrived at 7 a.m. to tell us to leave.Translating
I am here on Easter Sunday. This enormous, empty car park is idyllic alongside a large park. Could not be a more convenient 5min cycle ride around the park perimeter to the lovely old town. I was lucky to enjoy the relaxed ambience of many people enjoying their day off in the many historic cobbled areas and street cafes
Very quiet. We stayed two nights without any problems.Translating
Very large parking area. Quiet place, a short walk from the center.Translating
Free spaces - but no parking on Tuesday and Saturday (or maybe Sunday). It was very busy when we arrived around 5 pm however now by 7:30 pm 80% of the cars have gone. The police came by and seemed happy that we parked across several car spaces. Not sure as yet what time the car park will get busy in the morning. Plenty of street lighting.
Not sure how to rate this. We parked mid day and thought we scored. Great spot and close to town. We were astonished that there were no other campers. Well At 1700 everyone left. We were the only vehicle here. We looked for signs everywhere but nothing. If you drove back 200 meters there were cars parked. No gates no signs. We couldn’t figure it out so we left.
