Les Mosses, 1862, Ormont-Dessous
Been here?
Rustic riverside campsite in a Swiss forest clearing, cheap and informal: pick your own pitch, owner collects cash payment (often only 7-8pm), no reservations. Basic but clean toilets and hot showers; no electricity. Fire pits for grilling, hiking to nearby mountain lakes. Generally quiet, though a few pitches near the entrance hear road noise, and one group reported drumming disturbance.

A dream nature campsite, amid fir trees, between a stream and the mountains. Very hot showers with good water pressure. No electricity. You choose your own pitch; the owner arrives at 7 p.m. for drinks and payment. Hiking departures directly from the campsite to Lake Lioson, 12 km away, and Pic Chausy: an 18 km hike with 1,000 m of elevation gain.Translating
A simple and very friendly campsite. Perhaps the cheapest in Switzerland. Pleasant welcome.Translating
Wonderful campsite. If you like nature and simplicity, with water and fire pits available, and wonderful encounters, come here. If you enjoy walking, it's perfect. Most importantly, the toilets and sanitary facilities are spotless. Please respect this magical place.Translating
The cheapest campsite in the area, accepting credit cards, with easy access and a friendly owner. Flat pitches surrounded by nature. Mountain lakes are not far away on foot or by bicycle. Of course, the bathrooms are not luxurious, but they are clean and the shower is very hot. Anyone giving few stars for that is being unfair, because for the price paid it is more than excellent. You can fill up with water.Translating
Nice campsite, affordable price, with a toilet and shower.Translating
A truly idyllic site. The location directly beside the stream among tall conifers is outstanding. The sanitary facilities are not modern but are clean. The shower is warm and has good pressure, with no coin required. There are a few seasonal campers here, but only a handful. Good value for money. We would gladly return.Translating
Very friendly owners who allowed us to arrive late, and a lovely campsite in the middle of nature beside the river. We could have given five stars if the sanitary facilities had been renovated. We paid CHF 22 for two people in a van, which is very reasonable compared with other campsites.Translating
Super campsite! No reservations; we choose our own pitch. The owners arrive at the end of the day and are lovely. We had to leave before spending the night because of a minor incident with our son and had to go down into the valley, but we highly recommend it.Translating
Small campsite in the middle of nature. It has a small hut with toilets and a shower. A good place to spend the night, but no electricity, no black- or gray-water disposal—in short, very few services.Translating
A lovely campsite for those who are self-sufficient with electricity.Translating
