Passo della Mendola, SP229, 38011, Ruffre Mendola
Been here?
A large, quiet gravel parking area in a wooded setting, suitable for overnight stays and large motorhomes if they can reach the Mendola Pass. There are no services, so rubbish must be taken away. A restaurant is 1 minute on foot and opens at 8h30. Hiking routes are nearby, while mobile reception can be poor.

Top location. We were there with three others and spent an absolutely quiet night. No services, so take everything with you and leave no trace.
Large, free, tree-lined parking area. We spent one night alone in peace and quiet—the bliss. The next morning, we had a good breakfast at the restaurant right next door, one minute on foot, which opens at 8:30 a.m. Warm welcome and excellent homemade pastries. I recommend it.
A good place to spend the night, very large, but please don't overdo it with the number of motorhomes. Large motorhomes also have room, if they can manage to drive up the Mendel Pass. Gravel area, very little shade. No trash bin, so take your rubbish with you. Mobile data is quite weak.
Great place in nature. Hiking trails nearby.
We spent a quiet night here.
Relaxed atmosphere and a quiet night!
Cable-car parking area, plenty of space, level, no services but no prohibitions either. In the woods, very quiet for one night in a camper, even large ones.
Spacious parking area surrounded by greenery, at the bottom of a chairlift. Found it half-empty even in high season. Quiet and completely deserted at night. We found other campers, but all were well spaced out. Water only in the village.
A beautiful, quiet place. We stayed here with two other campers (June 25). Few other vehicles. Poor to no phone reception. One trash bin at the entrance to the parking area.
Beautiful, quiet place. Six other vehicles were there with us.
Wonderful place! Thanks for the tip! We stayed here for two nights and each night there were two or three other motorhomes in a space for 200 vehicles—what more could you want? Wonderful peace and quiet after the lift closed and the last hikers headed home. Hikes with and without via ferrata. We will be back!
