Cemetery parking, Saturday noise

Quite peaceful. Quiet at night.

We were here on a Saturday evening, unfortunately with constant heavy and loud traffic. If that does not bother you, it is a good motorhome stop just 1 km from the beautiful town centre.

We spent only one night there, very peacefully. We were alone. In the morning, we did not dare leave the motorhome unattended, so we continued our journey.

You can park with long vehicles, but it is not level, and in any case you cannot stay long because people complain that you take up too much space.

Large paved, shaded, free parking area! We slept there for two nights without problems. There was indeed some vehicle traffic during the night, but it was quiet after about 11:30 p.m. We left the motorhome and scooter trailer there for an entire day to visit Vieste, Peschici and Gargano National Park. We saw a water point at the cemetery, at the lower entrance; it is closed in the evening.

Large and quiet parking area. We spent two nights here; there was some traffic and pedestrian activity until around 11 p.m., but nothing too bothersome. It is about five minutes by bicycle from the beach and ten minutes by bicycle from the town centre. Recommended, including for large vehicles.

Beware! We were robbed in this parking area! We were away from the motorhome for only three hours. When we returned, someone had entered it, stolen some belongings and broken some fittings. We tried asking the carabinieri, as their station is only 750 metres from the parking area, but nobody was in the office... LOL.

Parking without services at the Mattinata cemetery. Quiet place.

Quiet parking; several motorhomes joined us. Relatively level. Good location, close to the sea and starting points for hikes.

We spent a good, quiet night here.
