Mountain parking, traffic noise

Such a beautiful place! We arrived around 6 p.m. on a Saturday and there were still spaces available. The area spreads out well and offers enchanting views from every pitch. 225 NOK by credit card or bank transfer is well worth it for this pitch in the middle of the tundra. Although you can hear the road, you can also hear the nearby river, and there was almost no traffic at night. We discovered reindeer tracks :) Wow!

Beautiful place to sleep, also the starting point for a fantastic hike. The 200 NOK toll definitely applies. Paid cash when the owner came by. Plus a 25 NOK service fee for online payment.

A short distance from the main road. Beautiful surroundings with melting snow. We had a quiet night. The toll mentioned in previous comments no longer seems to apply. There was no sign anywhere.

Very beautiful place, although the dirt road is quite rough; it is manageable if you take it slowly. However, it is a private toll road. I am posting a photo of the sign, which says a single passage costs 100 NOK, while staying for a day costs 200 NOK. We did not see any services, bins, or anything else. We did not stay and continued on.

Great spot. We spent one night there in a rooftop tent. However, the road is clearly audible, perhaps less so in a camper. Because of the open area, the wind was extremely strong at night, though I think it would be less of an issue in a camper.

Pleasant place near Vøringsfossen. We drove a little farther along the road; there are several camping spots. The road there is somewhat bumpy but was manageable in a camper van. You can also choose to camp closer to the main road, where you have less distance on the bumpy, potholed road.

We spent a lovely night here, right by the lake :)

Great starting point for hikes. Wonderful scenery and very quiet at night. The access road is like a dirt track, but no problem if you drive slowly. No services at all.

Parking in the middle of fantastic scenery. There were a few campers in July, but it was not overcrowded. A hike starts directly from the vehicle, past a snowfield; after 45 minutes at the large lake, there is a great view of the glaciers. Bring a warm jacket and hat even in July!
