As of 2026, Municipal Police collect €12/night in cash only. Tourist information has 24/7 toilets 5 minutes walk away. No gas available at Plagne; nearest is Mâcot (1 hour round trip). Summer easier than winter when reservations often sell out.

Parking with services. Excellent mobile-phone network. Very well located as a starting point for many trails.
The place is closed for booking, instead the Municipal Police comes by in the morning and you have to pay 12 euro pr. night. The services is still open (fresh water, grey and black water, electricity), and the toilet at the Tourist information (5 min walk) is also open 24/7. Really beautiful and quiet place, close to the bike park.
Reservation is mandatory in winter, and it is practically impossible to book because it is so poorly managed. In summer it is very pleasant and is the starting point for all the walks.
We tried to book online for a week and it said “Unavailable”. We therefore stayed at the Montchavin Les Coches campsite for the week, and while skiing and passing above the La Plagne aire, it displayed 10 spaces available (although counting them, there were 19). It is a shame that it is managed so poorly.
Stay with online reservation mandatory. It is difficult to find a socket to plug into, although we did not experience any power cuts. The entrance barrier was out of order. Be careful: there is no gas sales point in La Plagne; you have to go down to Mâcot (about a one-hour round trip). This information should be indicated when booking.
At the waiting area, payment is mandatory in cash; they refuse bank cards! So we refused to pay cash. A space became available and new arrivals rushed in because there was no management. Annoyed, we left, and a parking organiser chased us and nearly caused us an accident! Suddenly there were threats that we had to pay by card, strangely enough, even though that was not possible initially!
It is incomprehensible: there are no spaces available for booking, but in reality the car park is far from full.
Beware: booking is essential, especially during the winter holidays. There is no point making the journey during these periods. There is a small overflow car park with about ten spaces, without services, for €16 per night, but it fills up quickly and they have a vehicle for towing.
Beware, there is no free entry; entry is impossible without a prior reservation. All reservations are full until the end of April. As every year, there is a small car park opposite the entrance, unsuitable for motorhomes, with a maximum of 10 spaces.
you spend months contacting them to get a space but they cant reserve. they finally fix their website. yes ok, you can book today at 12pm. then you pay. you book leshuttle, ski lessons, spend thousands to finish your van for your holiday. then they cancel on you without any consideration. they cant tell you its overbooked until 3 weeks later? JOKE
Free motorhome parking outside the season, with all services, high up in La Plagne.
When I visited in summer on 21 August, the car park was 30% full. The pitches are level. The view is magnificent. The municipal police came around 9 a.m. to collect the €12 fee. There is electricity at every pitch.
An idyllic place for those who love high mountains, with countless hiking trails. All services are available for €12. Large pitches with superb views. The only negative point is the price at the bakery (€1.95 for a baguette).
Superb motorhome aire. Very well maintained; you feel welcome here, unlike at Les Arcs.
A motorhome car park at 2,000 metres. It is good that the municipality provides a dedicated place with services. €23 with 10A electricity. Magnificent hikes in the area.
All services are accessible. There is water.
There is no water because it is out of service :-( I went to another motorhome area in La Lechere-les-Bains where there is water.
Closed from 1 to 31 July for the Tour de France. What a shame.
Despite having a reservation, when I arrived there was a sign showing four spaces available, but I could not find one! Many foreigners group together by nationality and spread out. It was impossible to make them move. I called the aire’s reservation service, but could not get through, and nobody called me back either! I had to park in the disposal area without electricity and wait 24 hours for a space to become available.
