Rennsteiner Straße, 9500, Villach
Been here?
This riverside spot has a picnic bench and rubbish bin and is suitable for small vans and cars. Access is narrow, uneven and steep, with a 2 metre height limit at the tunnel; wet weather can make leaving difficult. Trains pass late at night, while cyclists and walkers use the area in the morning. The surrounding roads and highway can be noisy.

The access road is very narrow, and beware in rainy weather. We had difficulty getting back up the next morning even with a small van. The place is very busy in the morning with cyclists and hikers. Relatively quiet at night, but trains pass late into the night.
Very pretty spot for 2 small vehicles. Very few trains at night. Rocky path, easily accessible in dry weather.
The place is beautiful, but the approach is a disaster. The road is very uneven; I did not even reach the underpass with a VW T3 van. We had to reverse back up and got stuck in the process.
Basically a nice place to eat at the picnic table. Narrow access and very noisy because of the adjacent roads.
Interesting but manageable approach, beware of the height, to a natural spot with a train and motorway at an acceptably close distance. Table and rubbish bin available, as well as morning joggers. Shady spot in the morning, even in summer.
Not disturbed at all and a picnic table made making dinner really easy, the tunnel is car/van sized with a bit of a dirt road incline so only if you have faith in your vehicle - our car was fine
Beautiful spot, but maximum height restriction 2 metres.
very good. very quiet
Great parking spot for small vans and cars.
lovely, quiet spot on the river. however, I would only visit if you have 4 wheel drive. it's a steep bumpy road down to the river and unfortunately our Citroen Berlingo got stuck on the way back out. thankfully a local was able to help us get out after a half hour, but it was quite stressful and definitely did a number on our car.
