Small 4-space gravel car park by a mountain lake near Morgins, at 1600m, quiet and clean with a fire pit, picnic table and hiking trails from the spot. The access road is the defining feature: steep, narrow, winding and paved but genuinely unsuitable for large motorhomes or wide vehicles - several drivers found it frightening or turned back. Shaded by trees, so it stays cool. No services on site.

Small gravel parking area beside a pond, completely peaceful. Access: winding, steep, narrow two-way road, unsuitable for wide or very long vehicles. The site is clean; please leave it that way. Small fire area, picnic table nearby, and starting point for numerous hiking trails.
Excellent place, but access is difficult for large vehicles. Quiet and wonderfully different.
Not suitable for motorhomes or large vehicles; the road is only as wide as a car. For vehicles that can access it, the spot is absolutely worth the trip!
Idyllic lakeside spot with fire pit and table. Protected by trees, so it doesn't get too hot inside in the morning. A real treat! As for access, 100% accessible from Morgins. The road is a little steep but paved all the way, a little narrow in places but accessible with any vehicle, except large camper vans. You don't need a 4x4, and you don't need to be an talented driver.
DANGEROUS! DANGEROUS! DANGEROUS! I cannot explain how steep this road is. We got 5km from the site and had to turn around. I was physically shaking and crying from how steep and dangerous the route up is. Had to take a lot of the roads in 1st gear which I thought was going to kill my engine. Worst driving experience I have ever had. Please stay elsewhere for your own safety!
Perfect spot. Space for several campers with a fire pit at the road and more up the small grass bank. Also a picnic spot with a table and fire pit just around the lake a few metres. The road up is a little ‘exciting’ for a 6m campervan, but persist - the worst hairpins are at the bottom as you leave the village. We stayed for two nights no problem. Lovely restaurant (Chantel Neuf) just up the hill. Wild raspberries and blueberries around as well.
