Been here?
Gravel/dirt parking area on a quiet road at the forest edge near Sissach, with a scenic viewpoint (Sissacherflue) reachable by a 20-minute walk up. Free, no services. Roadside traffic is audible during the day but quiet at night, with hikers and dog walkers passing in the morning. Occasionally young locals gather in the evening; one visit in January 2026 involved fireworks and rowdy behaviour around 1am, prompting travellers to leave.

Arrived and all seemed okay - lots of local hikers cars. However at 1 am 6 guys came and were shooting fireworks at each other in the carpark. We left to avoid any drama. Seams to be a spot for people from the town to come and get up to mischief. Drove 30 mins away to much quieter spots
Quiet and free; at night you are almost alone. Right on the edge of the forest. The climb for sunrise is highly recommended.
Reasonably level gravel area without services on a quiet road. The 20-minute climb to Sissacherflue is worthwhile for the view. I had a peaceful night.
Level roadside parking, quiet night, no services.
Very good spot. Dirt parking area on the edge of the forest. There is a beautiful view of the valley if you park near the entrance. The car park is hidden behind a hedge, making parking discreet. However, the road is quite audible. There is almost no traffic at night. Many dog walkers and hikers in the morning. Some young people were there in the evening but did not stay long.
