Unfortunately still closed. The camper site as well. We had been looking forward to being there again, sitting and looking at the lake and mountains. Hopefully it will reopen at some point.✦Translating

A two-star municipal campsite of the kind that is becoming increasingly rare, and that is exactly what we like. No fuss, no unnecessary luxury, just simplicity and authenticity. The place is run by simple people like us, and that is what we love. A modest place, but with a lot of heart. We can't wait to return...✦Translating

Difficult pitch; we have an L3H2. We parked above the motorhome parking area and were better placed there than up in the heights. Sanitary facilities adequate but a little old. There is a small snack bar and grocery shop below, very convenient. We went to the beach with our canoe (beware, it requires stamina and strong arms).✦Translating

The only advantage of this retro campsite is its location and the helpfulness of the reception. Otherwise, well... better move on. Awkward parking, unacceptable bathrooms, and unidentified remains of caravans, fairground equipment, etc. Despite the distance, traffic on the road alongside the lake is quite noticeable.✦Translating

Impossible to find a place to park; very narrow, small pitches. They leave you to find your own spot if you can!! We left immediately. At €21.50 for one night, it is expensive for what it is. Beware, large motorhomes: it is very narrow.✦Translating

If you are looking for top-notch sanitary facilities, partitioned pitches and a dog park, this is not the place for you. If you want the best location in the valley, a hot shower and a fantastic view, you will be happy here. Even with a spontaneous arrival, you can find great pitches with wonderful views. We paid €46 for 2 people including electricity for 2 nights.✦Translating

Fantastic view of the lake. We always enjoy coming back, solely for that and the possible activities. Most people have toilets and washing facilities on board anyway! There are enough freely selectable, level pitches that can also be reached by motorhomes up to 6 m, with suitable driving skills...✦Translating

Despite the poor reviews, we took the chance. We had a great pitch, although the entire site is very steep. The washrooms are really old, with some completely or partially closed. No hot water for washing dishes, but the shower was pleasantly warm! Everything is very tight and poorly maintained, but sufficient for us. €23 with electricity was great for the location!✦Translating

Campsite to avoid! Despite its ideal location (large beach with watersports centre, Verdon Gorge, bar-restaurant-grocery), this campsite is not maintained and the sanitary facilities are very dirty! Despite informing the manager, no cleaning was done for more than 2 days. You choose your pitch, but it is difficult to find one that is relatively level and sufficiently shaded.✦Translating

Run away... the welcome was really unfriendly and all the pitches were sloping. The managers clearly don't care about your comfort, judging by the appalling condition of the sanitary facilities. The only star is deserved for the view, which is really the sole positive point.✦Translating

We arrived spontaneously for one night and still got a pitch. We had to find it ourselves by leaving something of ours, such as a blanket, to mark it. Thanks to the terraced layout, there was a beautiful view of the lake and sunset. Sanitary facilities were not well maintained and run-down. Fine for one night.✦Translating

The only positive point of this “campsite”, but the most important for us, is its immediate proximity to Lake Sainte-Croix and the Verdon Gorge. From the higher areas there is a view of the lake, but access is not always easy for motorhomes. The sanitary facilities are not maintained, and the reception staff are not very cooperative when help is needed (the washing machine broke with our laundry inside).✦Translating

The only positive aspect of this “campsite” is its location. Otherwise, the bathrooms are outdated and not always clean. Showers have only cold water. We stayed one night... and luckily, considering the smell at the pitch.✦Translating

It has a strategic location near the entrance to the gorges; with a pedal boat you can take a beautiful trip through the gorge. Everything else is run-down, from reception to the bathrooms, which even have an asbestos roof. Nobody enforces any rules, so choose your pitch carefully; identify the badly behaved people and stay away from them.✦Translating

Very interesting, welcoming campsite with free choice of pitch in a natural setting. It is also possible to park and sleep for €10 at the entrance to the campsite in a one-night area with 35 spaces. Ideally located for visiting the gorge and renting canoes, pedal boats or electric boats. The downside is that the campsite is somewhat outdated and some pitches are difficult and steep to access. We were delighted with our 3 nights.✦Translating

Unfortunately very confusing and old! The pitches, if you can call them that, are sloping and overgrown. The sanitary facilities were dirty and many things were broken. Luckily we only stayed there for two nights. The positive aspect is the short way to the lake and boat trips into the canyon.✦Translating

Simple but beautiful site, natural terraced pitches with enough space. Great starting point for the canyon. Sanitary facilities are somewhat old but clean; staff were helpful and friendly.

Cold shower, dirty toilet, not quiet at all. Young people party until midnight, making it impossible to sleep, with shouting and music at full volume!

Good campsite. Pros: location, pet-friendly, many spaces, beautiful lake view, good value for money. Cons: bathrooms somewhat neglected but clean, water emptying and filling area neglected, campsite exit only from 09:00.

Very convenient campsite for visiting the Verdon Gorge, with very friendly and helpful staff. The somewhat outdated toilet block needs improvement.

One star only for the kindness of the welcome. The campsite and sanitary facilities are not maintained. A graveyard of caravans in front of us. Waste disposal was very difficult, poorly done and smelly.

We were not allowed with our dog because supposedly she is a category dog. After checking with the embassy website this is not true (she is a doberman/ cane corso)

Several nights at this municipal campsite at a very affordable price given its location. Close to the lake, with the possibility of renting pedal boats, kayaks and boats. Sanitary facilities outdated but clean. You choose where to set up. Communal barbecue available. We will return during our next holiday without hesitation.

We also cannot really understand the numerous poor reviews: a simple municipal campsite with very old but clean sanitary facilities and everything needed — especially an excellent base for trips into the Verdon Gorge or relaxing days swimming in the lake.
