A roadside viewpoint parking area before Akrotiri with views across the Santorini volcano and caldera. It is very windy, and Caldera Beach is about 400m away on foot. Recent reports describe loud vehicles with music and deliberately revving motorcycles throughout the night, making overnight stays unsuitable for light sleepers. A lower parking area is smaller, sloped, and more sheltered.

Very beautiful view. Normal wind for the Cyclades. Overnight stay not recommended because it is very noisy all night: vehicles passing with their stereos at full volume and motorcycles deliberately revving loudly. We slept very badly.
Superb view of the caldera. Quiet night, little traffic. Very windy.
Okay for one night. A running generator at the neighbouring building and road traffic take away the necessary peace and quiet at night.
Viewpoint parking area beside the road, about a 400-metre walk from Caldera Beach. There is another, smaller parking area farther down, accessed via a slope. It is worth eating at the restaurant (fish of the day).
