Ventry
Been here?
A free, spacious and mostly flat overnight parking area behind the church, overlooking the bay and close to Ventry Beach. The pub across the road provides meals and a warm welcome, and the beach is 300/400 m away. There are no other facilities, though toilets are available in the bar while it is open; an outside tap may be used after eating in the pub, with permission and a container. Nights are usually quiet, but occasional events can be noisy.

Great free parking over looking bay. Toilets in bar while open. No other facilities, lovley beach 300/400 m walk down the road. Very popular pub Gaelic football photos and trophies.
Wonderful to spend the night here. The pub lets us stay for free. No facilities, but we had a delicious meal in the pub. Thank you, and definitely one to remember.Translating
A great place to spend a night. We were there at the weekend, so there were many campervans and motorhomes. We found a space for our 7 m vehicle without any problems. The pub makes its grounds available for free. Do not hesitate to visit; there is a great atmosphere and good food. Very quiet night. Close to the sea. No services. You must be fully self-contained.Translating
Free pitch with a view of the sea. The beach can be reached within a few minutes on foot. No sanitary facilities. We happened to stay on a night when a wedding was taking place in the pub opposite, so it was correspondingly noisy. Otherwise, very satisfied!Translating
Great place behind the church. We spent a quiet night here with several other campers. We ate in the neighboring pub and asked whether we could stay overnight.Translating
Spacious, quiet and flat. The pub was a bit dodgy.Translating
Motorhomes, panel vans and vans are welcome on the grassy area (in heavy rain and out of season, use the stabilized area). Stop by the pub to announce your presence, and take the opportunity to eat or have a pint :) The beach is less than a 5-minute walk away. The seafood chowder was excellent.Translating
Excellent Park Up . Very popular when Kerry are playing. Great atmosphere, great food and Guinness . Just a simple parking area behind the church either made up level ground or grass field. 2 mins from Ventry Beach. Perfect for all Campervans and Motorhome’s.
Great location facing the sea. The pub landlord couldn't be more accommodating. Super seafood chowder, highly recommended. Would go back again, not problem.
Great place for an evening at the pub and an overnight stay. Quietly located.Translating
No issue to stay the night here. No charge, but ate in the pub out of respect and it was a great meal. Very close to the beach for a walk.
Short walk to the beach. Right beside the pub which does great food and drink. Is far enough from the pub that you won't be disturbed by noise. There is another site down by the beach which we checked on foot, there are some campers there but we didn't want to chance it on soggy unlevel ground.
Stopped overnight here. Very warm welcome at the pub. Fantastic food. Wonderful views. Estimate about 15 spaces on hard standing. More on the grass. Would absolutely return. There is an outside tap but you need to ask at the bar and would need a container (or an incredibly long hose)
Large parking area opposite, and owned by, the pub, which is very lively, warm and welcoming. The pub does good food and a nice Guiness. Notify the bar that you'd like to use their car park for the night as a courtesy. Slept very soundly, despite the torrential rain!
Very welcoming spot to spend the night. Great traditional pub and a wonderful view. We were here on a cold night in early March and were greeted with a roaring fire and warm welcome. You have to be a self contained van. Large level parking spot with wonderful view to the Mountains and sea. Short walk to Ventey strand. Thanks to owners for making this place available.
Good park spot with lovely views. Enjoyed the friendly lively pub, but didn't rate the food much.
Perfect car park for an over night stay. Plenty of space. Nice little 5 minute walk to the beach. Great food and drink in the pub at reasonable prices.
Epic spot. Decent enough views. 2 min walk to a brilliant beach. Good pub and good. 6 vans there when we stayed on a rainy Tuesday!
No facilities except the toilet in the pub but an absolutely stunning peaceful setting. Free to park but buy a drink or a meal in the pub across the street. The stew was amazing and a great pint of Guinness too. 5 minutes walk to a stunning beach
There were many of us here in rainy weather. Thanks for the welcome, and do not hesitate to spend money at the pub next door because this is its parking area. Thanks for your kindness.Translating
Very quiet and an exceptional view! The pub opposite is very welcoming and convenient. Beach 5 minutes away on foot.Translating
Nice pub and beautiful view. Flat parking area.Translating
Fantastic place and free. Sea views. Need to say to staff in pub that you are staying and of course spend some money in the pub on food/drink in return for free accommodation! Beautiful views of the coast and 5 mins walk to Ventry’s long beautiful beach.
It would have received five stars if water supply and drainage were also possible. Nevertheless, what is there to complain about when you can park and stay overnight for free? The pub is worth a visit. The sandy beach is fantastic; today there was no seaweed at all, despite what had been written previously. Just sand, clear water and a small baby jellyfish on the beach.Translating
It is great that places like this exist, thank you. We ate wonderfully in the pub; the chowder and fish and chips, among other things, were delicious. We had a quiet night with seven other campers.Translating
Ask at the pub first. Plenty of room, great food in the pub. Got lively at night with a big party in but didn’t bother us. Short walk to lovely beach.
If you park here ask in the Páidi ÓSé’s Pub first. We had a fantastic meal and a couple of pints. Very quiet and peaceful night.
