A large free parking area near a tram station, useful for visiting Bergen. The tram is about 5 minutes away on foot and takes about 20 minutes to the city centre. A fast cycle path runs directly beside the parking area, including a 10 km mostly flat route to the centre. The parking area can be full and narrow during the day; toilets are available at a nearby Italian restaurant.

Large parking area with no parking fees. Very practical for a trip to Bergen; the light-rail station is only a five-minute walk away, and the ride to the center takes about 20 minutes.

Free and next to the tram to central Bergen. Tram ticket: NOK 44 one way.
In this area, the parking spaces are intended for the city's residents. Guests in motorhomes are kindly asked to park in the designated motorhome spaces. Information is available on the official Visit Bergen website.
Good plan for visiting Bergen: 20 minutes to the city center by tram for NOK 40 per person, NOK 20 for seniors. No problem for a 7.4-meter motorhome.
Excellent spot for visiting Bergen, with the tram one minute away taking you there in 40 minutes. Above all, leave via the way you came in; the other route ends in a dead end and is very difficult to get out of.
Free, spacious, and a one-minute walk from the tram.
It's not ideal because on one side you're 10cm away from the street, and on the other 10m away from residential buildings, but it does work in a pinch for one night.
Great! Free, and you can get into the city easily, either by bike, as we did—about 35 minutes—or by public transport. IMPORTANT: in the evening the parking area is empty, but by 7 a.m. it is already full! It is very popular and cars park close together on BOTH SIDES! Large motorhomes or long campers, for example with a bike rack at the rear, may have difficulty getting out in the morning. It becomes emptier again from the afternoon onward.
Very narrow and busy parking area, used by many Norwegians parking to take the tram into the center. Having several motorhomes in such a small parking area feels like an invasion. Until they prohibit it, though, it is great for visiting Bergen.
Excellent commuter parking area. Many Norwegians in the morning and during the day, so few spaces are available. We were lucky and visited Bergen from here. Tram and bus are less than 100 meters away, with 20 minutes to the city.
