Rue Robert Baltie, 01600, Trévoux
Been here?
Large campsite on the Saône river with excellent cycling access and dog walks. Staff are friendly; you choose your pitch, some with river views. Facilities include hot water and basic sanitary blocks; recent reports describe showers as very dirty with mould and hair—cleanliness is inconsistent. About 20€ per night without power. Wood-fired pizzas sold evenings.

An uninterested welcome. Choose your own space and work it out. Although the toilets and showers appeared relatively new, I’m not sure if they’d ever been cleaned. The showers were disgusting, full of hair and mould and the tap was very scummy. After four days on the road at least the water was hot, but wear your crocs! Chemical toilet disposal filthy too. Passing through but town/location lovely.
Excellent place on the banks of the river with all services. The girl at reception was very friendly and spoke Spanish. I would definitely come back.
The campsite was much larger than expected. Lots of shaded pitches. Plenty of space even at the end of June. The nearest toilet block was closed, so we had to walk a long way. Trévoux itself is definitely worth visiting too! Beautiful town, especially in the evening.
A very big busy site but a beautiful location next to La Saone- ideal for dog walks, runs, cycling etc.
Beautiful elongated campsite along the Saône with a lovely cycle path beside it.
Beautifully situated site. Ideal for bike rides along the Saône. We liked it so much that we stayed one night longer. The pizza van in front of the campsite offers good pizzas. The only drawback is that there is just one large shower in the washroom. The other two showers have no place to put anything.
Excellent campsite within walking distance of the town, situated on the Saône. There is a bus connection to Lyon, or you can take the train from a nearby town. Basic but tidy facilities with hot water and good water pressure. Good campsite for a stopover, but also nice for staying a few days. We paid around €22 for a van, two people and a dog.
Super-friendly staff. You can choose your own pitch. €20 for one night without electricity is perfectly reasonable. We had a view of the river, which was great. You can hear the motorway, but it isn't bothersome.
Beautiful campsite with ladies at reception who speak good English. You choose your own pitch, some with a view of the water. Excellent pizza baker next to the campsite. The village looks beautiful but there isn't much to do. Very nice cycling or walking routes both left and right along the Saône. To the left there are several pleasant terraces. Facilities are fine but not top-notch. All in all, well worth it.
Fantastic campsite kind staff clean, lots of space, river close by , quiet, good shop , access easy to town , wood fired pizzas sold in the evening, nice restaurant at the entrance will definitely stay again
Nice campsite; you can choose your own pitch. We stood right by the river with a beautiful view. The small town is five minutes away and worth seeing. Great for walking the dog along the riverbank. There is delicious pizza at the campsite from a very friendly pizza maker.
Still as excellent as ever: pitches, facilities, welcome, on-site convenience shop, bread and croissants in the morning, cycle paths just outside the campsite, and a village worth visiting. The only drawback is the noise from nearby roads, which is more acceptable at night, and the cruise boats moored nearby whose engines running all night do not necessarily lull us to sleep.
On our way to the Netherlands, we were warmly welcomed at reception and could choose our own pitch after driving inside. Fresh bread rolls can be ordered through reception. The facilities are clean.
Beautiful, leafy campsite on the banks of the Saône. Facilities are excellent and very well maintained. We spent just one night here, passing through to the Netherlands.
Nice campsite, and even in high season there was still enough space to find a beautiful spot by the water. Swimming is not possible, but there is an extensive playground and fitness equipment near the water. The adjacent town was somewhat disappointing in terms of dining options.
Spent three nights here on the way to the sea. Pitch with a view of the Saône. The path between the campsite and the river is ideal for walking, jogging and cycling. Five minutes on foot to Trévoux.
On our way to Norway, we booked online and, although we arrived outside reception hours, someone was waiting for us so that we could get in. Very good value for money, and very friendly staff.
Very nice and pleasant campsite with large, lovely pitches; you could choose your own pitch. The location is fantastically beautiful, with nice walking and cycling paths. The campsite was clean and nice, with perfectly adequate toilets and showers. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. We highly recommend this place and will definitely return.
Saturday 2 August, we are here for an overnight stay like many others, but why is one toilet block closed? What a shame; we will skip this one next time.
Lovely campsite. Immaculate facilities. Large pitches.
Beautiful campsite near the Saône River; you can reach the historic centre on foot. €30 for one motorhome and two people.
Super-nice staff. We stayed for two nights and had a shaded pitch overlooking the Saône. The town is within walking distance, the sanitary facilities are clean, and fresh baguette can be ordered for breakfast. We would come back.
Friendly staff, great free facilities. Easy access to local town. Offer of breakfast in morning.
We stayed here for one night on our journey home. Shaded pitches are scarce, but it is a great site.
Very nice and clean campsite! The sanitary facilities are clean. The small town is just a few minutes' walk away.
Beautiful campsite with clean, proper facilities. Lovely location by the water, and you can walk straight into the village. Recommended!
We completely agree with Ines41's description—but unfortunately the showers and toilets are still closed.
