1a Krška cesta, 8311, Kostanjevica na Krki
Been here?
A paid camper area lies between a busy road and the Krka River, with swimming, shade and two beach-volleyball courts nearby. Parking costs 11.5 euros per 24 hours, while electricity costs 0.6 pence per kw. The area is clean, tidy and safe, but weekend music and celebrations can be loud. A small old town, bar, restaurants and shops are across or near the river.

Great place to park, clean , tidy , safe.Child friendly. 11.5 euros per 24 hours parking. 0.6 pence per kw. Electric.
We stayed for two nights over the weekend. Not recommended at all. Loud music and partying people. Also, neither the electricity nor the fresh water worked. In addition, one camper left its generator running, which was very annoying. Unfortunately, this spoiled our stay at an otherwise beautiful place. The fee for this pitch is far too high. There are nicer places.
Wonderful place. Peaceful, although the traffic is a little noisy. A toilet is being built. Electricity, water, and emptying facilities are fine, but the last electrical distribution post does not work. You can swim in the river, and there is a beach volleyball court. Petrol station and Mercator 500 meters away. Restaurant 300 meters away, strawberry seller 50 meters away. There are several eateries in town. We will definitely return!
The place is nice. The nearby monastery, now transformed into an art gallery, is especially noteworthy. The parking area is honest and functional. The road starts to become bothersome in the morning. We had a good stay.
We had a wonderful stay here. Very pretty village opposite a river. We really enjoyed the place.
A very beautiful place with wonderful food.
Beautifully located, very clean, right by the river and near a charming little village, although there is hardly any infrastructure there. The nearest supermarket is about 8 minutes away. No toilets or electricity available; we cannot assess the waste-water disposal. For us, it was perfect for one night while passing through.
Two stars for the river view and proximity to the village. Apart from that, we found everything negative. You have to download another app to pay, which did not work, and the parking is below the road, just after the roundabout, so it is noisy and especially unsafe from a traffic perspective. There was nobody there, and we did not stay.
Nice pitch for one night, directly by the river. The little village is very idyllic, and we ate very well there at an affordable price. Recommended at any time.
You cannot park by the hour; the price is €11.50 per 24 hours. Too expensive just to park and visit the town.
There are only a couple of shady places, but the area is calm, big, and right by the river. The small town on the island is peculiar. Unfortunately, not all electricity sockets are working. Maybe they need a reset.
Very convenient area, extremely quiet at night. At the entrance to a tiny but beautiful town. Restaurant 200 meters away. Water and electricity available by coin-operated meters. Area costs €10 plus €1.50 EasyPark commission. Beautiful place, an essential stop for anyone going to Čatež.
Nice place beside the beautiful Krka, where you can swim. The electricity still does not work, but the machine still takes your money!
The electricity is currently not working! Relatively noisy because of the nearby road. Otherwise, a nice place with the possibility of swimming in the Krka.
You cannot just park here; the app charges a single price of €11.50 per 24 hours. Too expensive for parking, but fine for staying overnight. The place is right by the road. We left.
Either are the coordinates wrong or something changed, there is a beautiful paid parking by the river with electricity sockets but there are no toilets or water charging possibilities. A pity the spot is great.
Absolutely fine for a pitch in the town. The road is somewhat noisy during the day but quiet at night. Ideal for visiting this beautiful place. The Museum of Contemporary Slovenian Art in the monastery, the Božidar Jakac Gallery, is absolutely worth seeing. France Kralj’s works in particular are unique. He was an exceptional artist.
Basically a great pitch in a magical place. But the fresh water does not work. The machine accepts coins, but no water comes out. Unfortunately, there is no sign saying that the water is shut off. Disappointing experience, 25 April 2024.
Family of two adults and two children aged 2–4. Parking area in a beautiful setting with a river and village opposite. The nearby road is not disturbing. Electricity is paid according to consumption; the overnight stay costs €11.50 and must be paid via the app. The water-filling point was not working, but this was not indicated. The characteristic village, surrounded by greenery, is a two-minute walk away.
It took my money for the water but gave me no water. You can see the village in five minutes.
Flat, well maintained, electricity now 60c per kWh, near road but not much traffic
Paid camper area (€11.50 per night via the app), along the riverbank just outside the village. Quiet and illuminated, with free black- and grey-water disposal; water and electricity are coin-operated. Halfway between the Čatež thermal baths and Novo Mesto. Flat, with many spaces, a picnic area, and facilities for the warm season. Road noise at night is bearable.
Lovely site, very good value, especially for Slovenia. Charming little town, very welcoming for tourists. Very helpful tourist info office. Cycle trails, well worth a visit is the old monestry which is now an art gallery.
Very nice pitch directly by the river. Quiet night—only a few cars pass in the morning. You may put out chairs and a table, and the spaces are large enough! 24 hours for €11.50—great!
Nice quiet parking, large spaces. Close to the river and beautiful old town. Possible to swim, paddle or boat on the river. No shadow on some spots.
PRO: parking and services are really inexpensive. You can put out the awning. Very quiet at night—only about three cars passed. Pleasant scenery and a refreshing river. Thanks to the municipality! CON: very little shade.
Very pleasant place with swimming, volleyball, drinks, and a village atmosphere. Four stars because the spaces are below a busy road. Beware of mosquitoes! We did not understand how to use one of the electricity posts, but we had enough battery capacity.
Beautiful location, although you can hear the road a little. Swimming in the river is wonderful, and the nearby art museum in the monastery is also highly recommended.
It is nice here during the day. You can go to the river and swim. In the evening, however, a nearby bar plays music until 1 a.m., and it is already playing again at 7 a.m. The adjacent road is quiet at night, but traffic is quite loud in the morning. I would not stay overnight here again. The price is now €11.50, payable by app.
Nice large spaces; on the other side of the road there is a lake for swimming. Downside for Dutch and Belgian visitors: you can ONLY pay with the app, and this app does not work in Slovenia. Unfortunately, we had to look for another place.
It is unacceptable to pay €11.50 just to visit the village. They could offer a cheaper rate.
Great spot for the night and daytime, at the entrance to the town. Black-water disposal and drinking water are working. Bucolic and peaceful surroundings, although the road becomes slightly noisy from 6 a.m.
Excellent, clean, and well equipped. A lake with swans next to it. We are sensitive to noise, and the road did not bother us. It is true that the vehicles here are roadworthy and the people respectful. This is where you see the decline of France: wherever we go, the infernal noise of two- and sometimes four-wheelers is a real plague.
It has been free since then.
Superb place! We paid €11.50 plus a €1.50 app fee. Clean, directly by the river. Unfortunately, the bridge is under construction and cannot be crossed. Traffic increases sharply at 7 a.m., but the night was very quiet! Bins are available, as are electricity, water, and toilet emptying. Supermarket only a five-minute walk away.
