This is a flat roadside stopping place beside the sea, with views across to the Kintyre Peninsula. It is quiet, with very little road noise and a peaceful setting near a beach and river mouth. The space is suitable for an overnight stop and offers sunset views and the sound of waves.

Great spot by the beach, flat, a few metres away from the road, all alone on a Saturday night. Boathouse was hosting a wedding but no problem staying (other guests were in vans nearby). Sat/Sunday so obviously no school bus around.
Perfect stop . We stayed one night . Very little road noise . Pheasants , gulls and a rabbit for company . Peaceful . No sign of school bus here midweek . Late entry - we stayed on 29/4.
This point is a turning point for the school bus. You may get asked to move for 2 minutes early in the morning or late afternoon. There are no signs, but be aware.
Lovely quiet spot. Well situated for evening swims!
