Been here?
A large riverside wild-camping area with flatter and quieter spaces near the water. The river can be used for swimming, but the place is currently very dirty, with food remains, packaging and toilet paper. Locals often visit during the day for barbecues, swimming and sunbathing, while nights are usually quiet; road noise and stray dogs may be present.

The place deserves five stars, but unfortunately this was the dirtiest spot we have had in Romania. It is Monday, and all the food scraps, packaging and toilet paper from the weekend are still here. We had to fill a garbage bag with rubbish. It is a shame to have to start like this!Translating
Large areas for parking. We drove all the way down because the space here is flatter, quieter and a little nicer. During the day many locals were here barbecuing, swimming and sunbathing because it was the weekend. Most left again in the evening. We had two very peaceful nights and were welcome. The river was still cold in June, but it was a great way to cool off in the heat. We did not see any bears.Translating
nice field with lots of space. lots of people were there on Sunday when we arrived and then it emptied out on Monday. you can hear the road noise.
Wonderfully peaceful spot. During the day some people were barbecuing and swimming in the river. At night we were alone. You can sometimes hear the road, but it is not disturbing. As in many places, there is quite a lot of litter. There were quite a few stray dogs, but fortunately they were quiet at night. About a ten-minute drive to the start of the Ciucas hike.Translating
Lovely spot by the water; we stayed here for two nights. If you continue down to the water, you are far from the road and do not hear any noise apart from the occasional truck. We really enjoyed the water and had peaceful nights. We were accompanied by a lovely large dog. Also ideal if you want to do the Ciucas hike the next morning, with a 15-minute drive to the trailhead.Translating
Rather peaceful place, alone in the world at the end of October. Road noise can be heard. No services.Translating
Beautiful spot. It is close to the road, but it was quiet at night. No stray dogs barking at night. We found bear droppings nearby, but saw no bears in the evening or during the morning.Translating
A nice and quiet place. Over night you can barely hear the cars on the street that is kinda far from the place if you stand outside and relax. I had to clean some trash left behind by others in a hope that who comes next, will not leave garbage behind.
A magnificent spot; definitely drive all the way to the river, then you are lower than the road. There are various friendly stray dogs that took it upon themselves to protect us from bears during the night. You can cool off in the river. There are many fire pits. In August there is also a large wild plum tree with delicious fruit. A large flock of sheep passed by in the morning.Translating
very cool place to enjoy the river with the high temperature of these days! we stayed all day to relax. We met some locals and eat with them. only thing is some toilets paper around
The place is really great! Peaceful, with a river where trout and chub can be fished, and a flat meadow where you can camp peacefully. Easy access with a motorhome.Translating
