Been here?
This hotel parking area has space for several campers and beautiful views over the lake and surrounding highland. One night for 2 people and a camper costs 30 euro, including sauna use and 8 minutes of showering for 2 people. The parking area can be busy, and a nearby construction site and road may be noisy during the day. The hotel has a restaurant, and the sauna overlooks the lake.

Beautiful place, helpful stuff
Worth every penny! We paid 30 euro for 1 night with 2 people & our camper. Beautiful views of the lake! And this price included use of the sauna (which we could light ourselves, definately added to the experience) and for 2 people 8 mins of showering. Yes the shower areas are in desperate need of renovation, but the shower was hot, good beam of water & clean enough. We loved this place!
The parking area is somewhat chaotic as described. But that hardly bothers you, just like the construction site. You have a great view of the plateau from here. From the sauna, you look directly out over the lake. The sanitary facilities are rustic but clean. Restaurant available.Translating
The scenery is very nice and there is a very nice view but the place was very busy also in September and there was also a construction site nearby wich made a lot of noise during the day.
The view is incredible! The parking area is rather chaotic and narrow. You pay 125 NOK per person, which includes use of the sauna and hot tub, 4 minutes of warm showers (communal showers), and the toilets. These are in the basement and are somewhat outdated. You can eat tasty meatballs in the restaurant. If you like saunas, this is a great deal! :)Translating
Nice place to stay at the DNT hut. Amazing view and several hiking possibilities. Price is 125 NOK per person, payment is per person and not per vehicle like many camping sites in Norway. Sauna with view on the lake included. 4 min shower is included, more can be purchased 10 NOK / 4 min.
Fantastic sauna right by the lake, included in the overnight price of only 125 NOK per person in the motorhome. Wonderful view. Motorhome pitches are scarce during the high season due to the many day visitors. Highly recommended if you like saunas!Translating
The road is noisy; the parking area is large, but everyone parks wherever and however they want. The sanitary facilities for campers are not in the restaurant but in a separate area; especially the women's section is not particularly inviting. The view is truly wonderful. Overall, good value for money.Translating
Below the road. Sauna etc. included, with a fantastic panoramic view.Translating
Excellent place to spend the night. 250 kroner for a car and 2 people, including sanitary facilities, one hot shower, and sauna. Nothing to complain about. You can eat at the hotel if you wish.Translating
Top! Naturally beautiful view, friendly, and use of showers! Especially now, on 24 March, wonderful with the camper!Translating
For an affordable price (125 NOK per person), this easily accessible place offers an incredible view of the lake, decent toilets, paid showers (10 NOK/4 minutes), but above all, free access to the best sauna of your life!! Starting point for many hikes; breakfast is available at the hotel (200 NOK).Translating
The fjord view is gorgeous! My husband and I hiked Trolltunga so the shower was worth it but they’re old and outdated. Haven’t used the sauna yet but I would assume in the summer if you use the sauna and swim, it would be worth the cost. If you don’t and you aren’t looking for a shower, you would be better off finding a free spot elsewhere - it really depends on what you’re looking for.
Enough pitches with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. Perfectly reasonable at 125 NOK per person. You can use the bathrooms; only hot water costs extra. Emptying gray water etc. was not possible. The sauna with lake view is included, and afterwards you can cool off directly in the lake. The burger in the restaurant was a little expensive but very tasty. A perfect stopover :)Translating
A beautiful pitch with a wonderful view of the reservoir. At reception, you pay the friendly staff. The sauna is included and has a phenomenal view through its panoramic window. Afterwards, a refreshing jump into the cold lake—simply wonderful. The sanitary facilities are fine. The baker sold us our first very good bread in Norway. Excellent value for money.Translating
Expensive, 125 NOK per person. There is a bathroom and shower, but no electricity.Translating
Great place. Very tasty bread from the bakery. Many hiking trails. Hot tub and sauna. Perfect!Translating
Great place, beautifully situated by a lake. The sauna is not recommended because you have to wear swimwear there. If you know anything about sauna etiquette, you will avoid it. There was also a group of younger people inside who did not know that one should behave relatively quietly in a sauna. The shower costs extra again.Translating
Great pitch. The best thing is the free use of the sauna. Right by the water with a beautiful view. The hotel staff are very friendly. Showers are rustic but good. There is a restaurant, a bakery, and opportunities for hiking or renting canoes. We paid 280 NOK for one night with 2 people and 3 shower tokens (4 minutes per coin).Translating
It couldn't be better if you can spend the night self-sufficiently in your motorhome. The hotel provides the sanitary facilities; showers cost a small extra fee, and breakfast and dinner can be purchased at the hotel. Perfect!!!!!Translating
Very straightforward check-in: simply go to reception, where the very friendly hotel staff explain everything. You pay about €10 per person, including use of the sauna and the hotel's sanitary facilities. For showering, you receive coins worth 8 minutes of hot water. There are beautiful hiking trails around, leading through the high mountains. It is busy, but the night was very quiet.Translating
