Route de Quinson, 04800, Esparron-de-Verdon
Been here?
A simple, family-run campsite with spacious pitches, some shaded by trees, and a peaceful setting. Lake Esparron is about 15 minutes away on foot, while the village is also around 15 minutes away; some routes are steep. Showers have recently been reported cold, and 41 euros was charged for two adults and two teenagers. A small snack service and bread or pastries are available by prior order, with no pool or entertainment.

The location of the site was very beautiful. But beware: despite the clearly visible signs asking everyone to keep their own dog leashed, the two dogs belonging to the campsite owner were running free. One became jealous when the other wanted to say hello to our female dog and then attacked ours. Fortunately, there were no injuries! We never heard a “sorry” or anything similar from the campsite owner.
Quiet and pleasant campsite for the night. The manager is friendly. Spacious pitch. A very pleasant 15-minute walk to the lake. Downsides: cold shower water; somewhat expensive for two adults and two teenagers, €41, which is what we pay for a campsite with a swimming pool.
Unfortunately closed on 26 September. Some information would have been nice.
Excellent campsite. Family-oriented and welcoming; the lady at reception is lovely. The facilities are clean and the showers are hot. You can order breakfast; the croissants are very good. In short, everything you expect from a campsite. I highly recommend it!
Small, quiet and clean campsite. The lake is accessible with a bit of walking. Perfect place for rest and the outdoors. Very friendly welcome.
Campsite 15 minutes on foot from the village. The lake is 20 minutes away on foot via a steep path. Bring good shoes. Dirt pitches close to one another. Van for two people and one dog: €30. A little expensive because there are no activities or swimming pool. Family campsite and fairly quiet.
Close to the lake, quiet and family-friendly, facilities OK. We spent 3 nights in the shade of the trees, though several pitches have no shade. A mini snack bar serves fries, hummus and other small items. Pastries can be ordered for the morning if requested the day before. We paid €109 for 3 nights for 2 adults, 1 child and 2 female dogs.
Nice litte campsite, family run, very friendly owners, quiet and clean (22€ van plus 2 adults). You can walk to the village and the lake (always good for a swim!). I can recommend this place !
A small family campsite in the countryside, with a friendly welcome and good advice on walks. The lake and shops are easily accessible from the campsite in 20 minutes. Superb lake views and a very pleasant setting. A place to recommend. Do not hesitate to explore the narrow streets for some lovely discoveries.
Small, human-scale campsite; friendly owners who give good advice, and spacious pitches. The facilities are clean—excellent!
Very beautiful campsite run by a lovely family. Simple & old school (no toilet paper, can’t adjust the water temp…..but not a problem). The ambience was great. Some spots are in full sun, but we were able to choose complete shade. Lake is incredible!!!!! 15 minute walk to the lake.
