Strada Provinciale 76, 53011, Castellina in Chianti
Been here?
A quiet wild platform with excellent views, reached by a short, steep and overgrown climb. The approach is suitable for narrow vans or vehicles with good ground clearance, and 4x4 is unnecessary when dry. The nearby road is very busy, although recent reports say its noise is not disturbing. A fire pit and space for several campers are available.

Very peaceful place. Suitable for vans with good ground clearance and not too wide. If it is dry, four-wheel drive is not needed. You can hear cars from the nearby road, but they are not disturbing.Translating
Access and departure are only possible from Castellina due to the turning angle. The access road is extremely overgrown, with thorns scratching both sides. Tall vehicles have an advantage; the marked spot is accessible only to them. Fantastic view, but very close to the extremely busy road. Less traffic between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. Realistic capacity: one off-road vehicle at the back and one van at the front.Translating
We stayed here for a quiet night, completely alone. The view is very beautiful. Everything was good.Translating
There is a short dirt incline, but any vehicle can manage it. The place is fabulous, as is the sunset view. The night was quiet; no cars passed on the nearby road, and we saw countless stars.Translating
Scenic viewpoint. With our 5.40-metre vehicle, we touched the branches on the sides for about 100 metres. Quiet night and also excellent for stargazing!Translating
Wonderful place, also accessible with a VW T4. A little close to the road, but otherwise no problem.Translating
Perfectly quiet spot, quite far from the road. We sleep in our small car, and access to the site was long, but driving slowly over the rocks worked. Go as far as possible along the path so you are not too visible from the road. Almost no noise at night, but some traffic in the morning, especially motorcycles on the road. Please take your rubbish with you.Translating
Dreamlike view. Very nice spot, somewhat protected from the road. Only suitable for four-wheel drive; steep, narrow access road. You can hear a few cars from the road at times, but it is otherwise very quiet. Highly recommended.Translating
Easy access, with a narrow but very short path. However, you need to go farther than the GPS point indicated. Drive slowly, but vans can pass without any problem. I am taking off one star for the daytime noise—motorcycles on Saturday, making it feel like being next to a racetrack. No noise at night. The view is not completely unobstructed if you move farther forward; you see the countryside above the trees.Translating
Excellent pitch, accessible only to vans. You can continue 30 metres so you are not visible from the road, but watch out for the rocks—it is very tight. The missing star is because of the road, which is audible and has a lot of traffic. Otherwise, nice view.Translating
Very beautiful place, very beautiful view, and no traffic. However, you can hear the road a little. In short, a great place!Translating
Very good location next to the beautiful village of Castellina in Chianti. Be careful when it rains: the pitch becomes muddy. Quiet place with a lovely view. Hunting in the valley in the morning. You may encounter deer along the roadside, so keep your eyes open.Translating
