Been here?
Hiking trail parking with magnificent views of Puy de Dôme. Overnight stays tolerated for single nights only, 8pm–8am; no furniture, awnings, or wedges allowed. Daytime brings heavy foot and bike traffic from hikers until 22:30, though nights are quiet. Beautiful for walking.

Three vans at night, with a lovely view of Puy de Dôme. Quiet for sleeping.
Nice spot near a road, but it can barely be heard. There were only two vans, far apart. Many walkers until 10:30 p.m. because there are beautiful hikes starting from the spot. A very nice place for one night.
Higher and cooler place when Clermont-Ferrand is hot. You can hear passing cars until late and early in the morning. Many hikers park here and mountain bikers pass by. Good for one night.
Pleasant parking area, no noise, with a magnificent view of Puy de Dôme.
Very beautiful place. Very quiet. Lots of hikes to do.
Very good for one night, quiet. We were two vans on a Friday evening, near a departmental road but with little traffic at night. Very beautiful view of Puy de Dôme.
We spent the night here peacefully. There were still five or six vans, but everyone respected each other. The view of Puy de Dôme is nice. I recommend it for one night, although there is indeed a lot of passing traffic.
Spot for one night with a view of Puy de Dôme, but exposed to the wind, close to the road and at the start of a hiking trail, so it is busy. Average.
The place is great, with a lovely view and a path for walking the dog. The problem is vanlifers who respect nothing, bring out tables and chairs and act as if they own the place, even though overnight stays are merely tolerated. Because of people like this, we can no longer go anywhere. Probably a victim of its own success; I do not recommend it.
Nice spot with an unobstructed view of Puy de Dôme and the surrounding peaks. You can hear walkers a little in the morning, but it is not bothersome. I also went running in the beautiful forest, which has several paths. Puy de Dôme is only 15 minutes away by panoramic train. Highly recommended. Stunning views continue beyond those from the spot.
Few spaces available because of cars, and most become muddy after rain. We found only one space without risking getting stuck. However, it is a magnificent hiking spot. Keep your dog on a leash because there are many animals and electric fences.
Great spot, magnificent view. Flat and quiet.
Quiet and flat place with a magnificent view. Be aware that the ONF reminded us that overnight stays are tolerated. No leveling blocks, no furniture outside, etc., otherwise there may be a fine.
A spot that has become a victim of its own success. We were four vans and one car in early July. Very quiet place with a misty view of Puy de Dôme.
Great spot, flat, plenty of space and a quiet night. We were three vans and a few cars spending the night bivouacking. Magnificent view.
Great nature spot with lots of space.
Perfect for a quiet night despite being close to the road.
Lovely place, peaceful night, but roads nearby.
