Monastery parking, dirty facilities

Quiet place with a beautiful view. Very occasional traffic on the adjacent road at night. Drinking water available. Only the toilets are very dirty (uncleaned French toilets).

We slept in the unattended parking area. There is only a little nighttime activity, from people going up to sleep at the monastery or waiting in their cars for those coming down. There are toilets and also a shower.

Free spot with a few flat areas. Toilets and cold shower on site. Right on a bend on the road up to the monastery so some traffic noise. Look for a space on the gravel section first as this is quieter.

Parking area with quite a few level spaces, excellent toilets, good mobile coverage, and easy access.

A very good stop for visiting the monastery. Quiet night and bells at 6:30 a.m. Toilets, water, and level parking, but there is a bus stop. There are taxis (€5) to the monastery, or you can take the road or a path (40 minutes uphill). It is good to arrive in the evening to see this monastery, built into the mountain, illuminated.

We stayed the night before visiting the monastery the next day. We would recommend this parking rather than the upper car park, which would not be very level and probably quite noisy with all the pilgrims at night. Here we spent a very peaceful night.

Excellent parking area. We arrived at the end of a Friday and it was quite empty. On Saturday, it filled up in the middle of the day. There are rubbish bins, a toilet, and a tap with a hose. One of the toilets even has a hot-water shower. Safe and peaceful.

The handicap bathroom has a shower with hot water! We drove up to the monastery with our 7.2m camper but decided to come back down to camp overnight since this parking lot was less busy. We parked at the gravel section since it was away from the main paved section where everyone else was parked. The monastery bell and singing starts at 6:00am.

Huge parking area for visiting the lower monastery. Suitable for any vehicle. If you want to avoid driving the camper up to the upper parking area, saving yourself 2.5 km of bends and possible difficult manoeuvres if you meet another camper, you can walk up via the path. There is a drinking-water fountain in the parking area.

Parking suitable for large vehicles, as the road to the monastery is very narrow. The monastery entrance is about 25–30 minutes away via steep stone stairs.

We confirm the large parking area and free facilities: toilets, showers, and a drinking-water fountain. If you are here on Saturday night into Sunday, there will be many pilgrims and their coaches, arriving until late; they sleep on the floor at the monastery. A little noisy, but it is part of experiencing this Montenegrin religious tradition.

Very quiet spot. Toilets open 24/7 and a cold shower in the disabled toilet. The road from Danilovgrad is accessible for a Jumper; there is enough room to pass if you take your time. The monastery is a 45-minute walk via the stairs accessible from the parking area. Free drinking water tap. Pick up your rubbish.

Great for parking while walking up to the monastery. I did not spend the night there, but it should certainly be possible.

Great. Large gravel parking area, very quiet at night. Very clean toilets open day and night. Shower in the disabled toilet. Water fountain in the parking area with a fitting for connecting a hose. Excellent option.

Magnificent monastery, free entrance. We stayed here because beyond this point it is for the shuttles and taxis going up. Toilets and fountain. Quiet night from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Noisy during the day, even on October 25. A 30-minute climb up stairs, but you quickly forget it once at the top. Shuttle possible. We managed to get here with a 7 m motorhome and trailer. The road is narrow, especially when meeting other vehicles.

Beautiful place for the night. Water, toilets, and rubbish bins available. About 30 minutes on foot to the monastery. We spent a quiet night here on Wednesday.

Very practical parking area for walking up to the monastery. However, there is a lot of movement from large buses and shuttles all day and very early in the morning. The night was somewhat noisy! The monastery is exceptionally beautiful and blends very well into the mountain.

We stayed here last night; very quiet. Rubbish, water, and toilet available. Tip: the road from Danilovgrad is much easier to drive. It takes about half an hour to walk up to the monastery.
