3 Lungomare Enrico Mattei, 71019, Vieste
Been here?
Street parking directly beside the beach, with Vieste reachable on foot in about 10 minutes. Outside the high season it is free; during paid periods, rates are 1 euro per hour or 7/10 for 24 hours, depending on the season or day. The seafront road can be very noisy, with fast traffic passing close to vehicles. Playgrounds, the old town and the white rock on the beach are nearby.

A peaceful place to leave the car while visiting beautiful Vieste. We spent one quiet night here. Recommended!
So-so. Even off-season it is very noisy; cars drive fast and pass close to the vehicle. There are very few free alternatives, but in low season you can park for free on the much quieter side street. I moved here late in the evening from a place 100 m away. Good Iliad internet reception, however.
There are nicer places than this roadside spot, where there is quite a bit of traffic. But the beautiful sandy beach is right outside, and it seems to be the only legal free parking for campers outside the season. I have a 540 cm panel van, which fits within the markings. The night was very quiet.
Good for walking into town. Motorhomes are prohibited in the town center. It is impossible to reach the port parking lot, even by trying to go around via the north.
We were there on May 21, 2025: no sign prohibiting motorhomes, and paid parking only in high season, from June onward. Another comment recommends the port parking lot, LUNGOMARE VESPUCCI: do not go there; motorhomes and caravans are explicitly prohibited, though vans are allowed.
Stay away from Vieste! Campers are NOT WELCOME! There are prohibitions everywhere, and if you happen to park with the parking meters closed, they STILL GIVE YOU A FINE for exceeding the marked space. GOODBYE VIESTE!!!!
Very well located for visiting the town. At this time of year parking is free and there was almost nobody in the spaces.
No sign prohibiting campers from parking, and free at this time of year. The town center is indeed prohibited to campers, but not the seafront. We were able to visit the tourist center on foot, 10 minutes away. Day parking near Pizzomunno: perfect. I would not have spent the night there.
Recent signs everywhere prohibit motorhome parking. What a shame!
We expected a parking lot, but this is a parking strip directly along Lungomare Enrico Mattei, SP 53. Otherwise, as described above.
Very well located near the beach and the beautiful old town, especially compared with Peschici. However, it was badly shaken by fast-moving vehicles passing close by, even at night. It is better to go to the port parking lot, LUNGOMARE VESPUCCI, which I could not create as a location because it appears as private, although it is public and free after October 1. Findable with Google Maps.
