Les Cassés et Coste Amare, 05250, Le Noyer
Been here?
A large, flat car park at Col du Noyer, altitude 1664 m, with mountain views and several hiking departures. It has a very clean dry toilet but no other services, and is generally isolated with little traffic. A generator beside the refuge can cause noise and smells from 5h in the morning.

We ultimately gave up despite the beauty and cleanliness of the place because of the noise and smell from the restaurant’s generator right next door.Translating
Beware of the noise from the refuge’s generator starting at 5 a.m.Translating
Great spot, arrived around 9 p.m.; not a soul in the parking lot. Not a sound during the night, and no one there in the morning either. Super-clean dry toilet. Several hikes start here.Translating
Splendid, flat spot with views of the mountains. Very clean dry toilet in the parking lot. Refuge Napoléon is very welcoming. Hiking trails start from the parking lot. Little traffic.Translating
Absolutely a paradise , the refuge serves good meals at least open for lunch , beautiful benches and wooden chairs and tables overlooking the valley and mountains . The parking is big and flat , has dry new toilets. We came up with a 7 meters motorhome late during the afternoon as the road is very steep and difficult for two vans to pass.
Very quiet night, magnificent surroundings. Little or no mobile network (but is that important?).Translating
