Champs de la Vervialle, 19340, Monestier-Merlines
Been here?
This shaded picnic area lies in a small hamlet beneath magnificent century-old trees, with mountain views partly obscured by a white plastic growing tunnel. The grassy site is not well suited to camping-cars and needs renovation, while the pétanque court is poorly maintained. The area has a picnic table, rubbish bin, and formerly available water, but the nearby cheese factory is closed. It is generally calm, with distant poultry sounds.

Quiet and shaded, with beautiful centuries-old trees. The view is partially obstructed by a white plastic polytunnel.Translating
The area (very well signposted from the road) is not suitable for motorhomes. It is on grass and the site is in need of renovation. Unfortunately, the cheese dairy is closed. Otherwise, the site is magnificent, with beautiful trees and a panorama of the mountains in clear weather. Discretion and good relations are essential because of the nearby homes.Translating
Simply a magnificent place for an overnight stop. No noise except for distant chickens and roosters. Thanks to the municipality for allowing us this rural break.Translating
Very clean, very quiet, and the nearby residents are very friendly and discreet. Very open views of the countryside and horses. Perfect night. Please respect this place.Translating
Extremely peaceful parking area, water available, pétanque court poorly maintained, cheese dairy gone. Fine for one night.Translating
Charming, shaded, and quiet picnic area, except that the water is turned off in the middle of a heatwave!!! What a shame. I emailed the town hall!Translating

Very beautiful, quiet spot with a lovely view at the foot of magnificent very old oak trees. In the middle of a hamlet. Thank you for this superb area!Translating
Beautiful trees, a 360-degree view of the Puy mountain range, peace and quiet, and excellent cheese—we left with an assortment of everything. One word: thank you for allowing us to stay with you for a while. We will return.Translating
