Been here?
This parking place has spectacular views over Lake Vättern, with access to the water, walking and cycling trails, and beautiful sunsets. Five motorhomes can stay, with payment by QR code. Two toilets, 3 grill stations and 2 fire stations are available, but there is no water or electricity. The parking area is quite steep, and a café is <1km away.

Great site, unfortunately quite sloping (leveling ramps would be useful). There are two clean toilets behind the shelter/barbecue area—please use them! Payment via QR codes. Beautiful sunset :)
Wow, wow, wow, what an amazingly beautiful place to relax and explore. Five motorhomes may stay here; you can find the QR code at the main building. There are two toilets, three barbecue stations and two campfire areas. Wonderful access to the water, from where you have a magnificent sunset. The night was undisturbed and quiet. Important: motorhomes may stay only one night.
Superb place, magnificent view, very quiet, with lots of walking and mountain-biking trails.
The site is really beautiful and the view is excellent! Many walking paths start at the car park. You can wonderfully watch the sunset. However, the car park is generally very busy, although in the off-season we did not find it unpleasant. There is only a dry toilet. It was clean but smelled very unpleasant.
Few people in the off-season now, no party crowd. It was very quiet, and payment via QR code worked perfectly. No waste or water facilities on site; these are at the larger car park slightly uphill.
Excellent spot with a magnificent view, picnic tables and a staircase for swimming. A truly great place to spend the night; highly recommended.
Only recommend to stay during the day, nice bathing and beautiful trails. Seems to be a partyspot during the night. 5 spots but more than 5 vans, so someone’s not paying? Loud music, lots of people. Go someplace else if you want to sleep and save your money.
A great place to stay during the day - explore the beautiful scenery and take a dip in the clear lake. But in our experience it was way too overcrowded to stay for the night. The cars just kept coming in and youngsters staying in their cars overnight had their own little party disregarding the volume. We paid 150SEK thinking there’d only be the max amount of 5 pitchers, but it was way too many.
Beautiful pitch with a view of the water. Toilets are okay. The bin at the site was unfortunately overflowing, making it somewhat unattractive. Barbecue area and covered campfire area available. Payment via the app worked without problems. Many swimmers.
Actually a very beautiful site with a lovely view over Lake Vänern. But it is a busy viewpoint. Real peace and quiet only began around 11 p.m. There are five pitches in total, payable by QR code; if that does not work, you can pay in cash at the hiking lodge above. Greywater and blackwater can also be emptied there.
Beautiful view over Lake Vättern. 150 SEK per night.
We stayed here for one night and it was really peacefully quiet. There is a very beautiful view of the lake and even a fire pit. We would definitely come back.
A nice place overall, but heavily frequented. It became quiet after 6 p.m. At first there were two of us and we had a good chat. During the night, another car arrived in the darkness. Doors were repeatedly slammed loudly, someone shone a flashlight around and then smoked cannabis—it was really annoying and, above all, spooky. I will definitely avoid this place in the future.
Beautiful view If you can get right by the water, but is very popular with the swedish pensioners and they occupy the whole area early, No toilets or service but beautiful surroundings and great bath steps down the water
This spot with its dreamlike view is almost worth every one of the 150 SEK! Nice swimming access via a jetty with stairs (crystal-clear water!), and many day visitors. Points deducted for dirty toilets—payment was checked around 6 a.m., but not the toilets or firewood, which was empty.
A place with a beautiful view where you can swim and make a fire, and there are toilets. I was here two years ago as well; now there is a sign saying that from 2022 onward you must pay because there are facilities such as drinking water. However, we did not see these facilities. The sign also says you must choose a site number, but the sites are not numbered.
We were here over the Midsummer weekend. It was overcrowded and noisy, with many cars. The bins were full and the toilets heavily used. Later in the evening, some young people came to go swimming. The gravel road made arriving and leaving very noisy. The access to the lake was beautiful, as was the view and the opportunity to start hikes.
it was a lovely spot with a good view of the lake. There are walks from the car park, picnic tables, toilets, and there is access via a ladder to the lake. The water is very clear and perfect for a swim. The reason this gets 3 stars for me is that we were completely swarmed by flies, mosquitos, wasps and hornets. they were everywhere, inside the van and out.
