Warning, warning. We left our two vehicles in this parking area for the day while hiking—a van and a Marco Polo. When we returned, both vehicles had been burgled.Translating
Day parking to commence hike, perfect spot, busy with locals walking but free for the day and straight onto the steep (but well signposted) trails to the top.
Almost level area on the upper section, with a wooden table and bench. Quiet with little noise. Starting point for the hike to the monastery. Two easier route options: the GR5, with more than 270 steps before arrival but a chance to see ibex, or the hard route, GR6, which is steep and slippery.Translating
Strategic place for exploring the area on foot! A little tip for anyone visiting the monastery: take the cable car (€13.50 return), which will save you from paying €80 for parking.Translating
Great spot although might need chucks right at the beginning of the climb. Which is exhilarating but challenging definitely worth the effort no services two picnic tables
Stopped with 8m motorhome for 2 nights. Ideal for steep hillside hike up to monastery. On our own one night, and 3 other vans there on second night, but fairly quiet and felt safe. Plenty of motorhome parking at funicular station if preferred. Many thanks to the community.
Nice spot just past the village. Few flat spaces to choose from once the cars depart early evening. There is a 2 hour walk up to the top.
Very close to Montserrat, a good place to stop overnight before visiting. Beware of barking dogs and shouting from people in the neighboring village until late at night. Very beautiful view and perfect for stargazing. Still not too dirty for a place in Spain.Translating
Flat spaces on the upper sections. Good for parking for two nights. Moderate traffic during the day. Two large wooden tables with benches for meals. Starting point for the hike to Montserrat Abbey. Quiet night with birdsong. Excellent viewpoint and only a few minutes from the village. Very nice and beautiful.Translating
Bells ringing at 7 a.m. at the monastery nonstop, and a lot of traffic from 7:30 a.m. I will not spend the night here again, far too close to the road.Translating
