10 Strada Provinciale 112, 53017, Volpaia
Been here?
This free gravel parking area lies just below Volpaia’s castle, a short walk from the beautiful village. It is quiet and suitable for overnight stays, but has no services. The parking is not level, and workers from a wine bottling company may occupy many spaces in the morning. The village bottega is closed on Tuesday.

Large gravel parking lot just a stone’s throw from the beautiful and characteristic village of Volpaia.
Large parking lot, well located, very quiet and directly below the town.
A great place, even in the dark. The pitch has no facilities, but it is ideal for the small village. Be sure to visit the pub by the church; friendly people and excellent food.
Parked perfectly, slept well and enjoyed ourselves in Volpaia. Restaurant recommendation: Osteria Castello Volpaia—close to the stars, delicious food. Martina is incredibly hospitable. It was good not to have to drive after visiting.
Good place to spend the night. Watch the sunset a little north of the town, about 300 meters up the gravel road.
Ordinary parking lot, not level, but close to beautiful Volpaia. At Bar Ucci you can really enjoy yourself; the landlady is very warm and welcoming.
What a great place! Unfortunately, we had no view at all because it rained continuously, but you can walk through the small village and among the vineyards. The Chianti Classico, which you can walk to in the village, is also excellent—as is the pizza. We spent a rainy day and night here. And yes, trucks arrive in the morning to collect wine, so it is noisier.
We stayed 2 nights at the end of March. The place is beautiful and very peaceful at this time of year. We parked without any problems, but it is better to do so late in the afternoon or before 9:00 a.m. because workers from a wine bottling plant arrive and occupy quite a few parking spaces. The restaurants were closed at this time of year. The fountain has very high water pressure. There is a place to dispose of rubbish.
We have rarely slept so peacefully. Unfortunately, in November the village is closed: no osteria, no bar, and even the bakery is closed. Only the winery’s direct sales shop is open. Very beautiful place, no facilities.
Free parking. Free for campers.
