Unnamed Road, LL54 7BQ, Caernarfon
Been here?
This is a free wild parking spot with spacious areas and panoramic views over the bay and surrounding countryside. The ground is generally level enough, though it can become muddy and very windy in bad weather. Access roads are narrow and sometimes steep, with larger motorhomes potentially struggling, especially from Waunfawr. There are no amenities or bins, while occasional cars, farm vehicles, sheep and cows pass nearby.

Quiet, spacious, with a view over the bay.
Amazing place, with a completely unobstructed view. A woman arrived in the evening at sunset and started singing for 10 minutes with an incredible voice! It was a timeless moment! The next morning, cows were beside the vehicle. We love places in nature like this! As mentioned before, the roads are narrow. With an L4H3, this was the limit for Waunfawr; the other route is easier.
Great scenic views if coming in big vehicle don't approach from waunfawr side its a bit tight
Fantastic 360 views, quiet, peaceful, lots of sheep, 2 entrance roads in, both pretty narrow and one more steep. More than one large opening to park up, can get pretty windy but didn’t put us off at all. We got a lwb sprinter up here easily, but full size/width motorhomes could struggle! Stayed 2 nights, first night a lovely lady came and sung a beautiful classical song, maybe to a lost loved one.
Amazing view with wonderful sunset accompanied by the singing lady to set the scene! peaceful night, one other camper and a few cars stopping early evening. Level enough ground. Woke to high winds and rain and view had gone! Drove down the hill to some woods to walk the dog. Roads narrow but withnpassing spaces.
Lovely spot with fab views. Narrow roads are worth mentioning! Also we’re pleased to witness the singing lady! What a fab voice!
I drove up in a 6 meter MH, The roads were a bit tight in places but very doable, lovely spot good phone signal views were incredible once the fog cleared. due to the heavy rain of late it is quite muddy but enough of a hard standing for 2 vehicles. the cherry on the cake was the lady pulling unannounced and sang to the sunset. it was spine tingling.
Lovely spot for a long weekend. Access from Waunfawr is steep and quite narrow, better to access from Rhosgadfan direction. Good 4G connection, no amenities, no bins so please keep it clean. Surrounded by panoramic views and grazing sheep. Occasional cars pass slowly. I was also blessed by the singing lady!
This spot is great. Front row seat for the sunset, plus view of Angelsey. It was a still night with no wind. A lady pulled up and sang "Cilfan y Coed" to the sunset. Turns out she's a local legend who sings to the sunset every night in different locations locally. If you're lucky enough to enjoy this experience, you will be blessed as it was truly magical.
Stayed here last night, was a little windy but nothing major. There was 2 other camper vans but enough space for the 3 of us, we stayed in a small off the road grass lay-by next to the spot shown in the picture, we also had a few visits from the neighbours (the sheep). Good view over Caernarfon and the coast, would definitely stay here again!
A beautiful place! Especially when the sun is going down. However... It is very windy, so be warned. Next time I'll skip this spot.
Superb place for a quiet night. In clear weather, an ideal spot to enjoy a magnificent sunset. Many locals meet here in the evening. Cows graze nearby.
whoever you are that shared this one,Legends! fun drive up too! amazing place! thanks! ps. kind laughing at the people I can see down on the coast where I stayed yesterday.
Magnificent view. No services at all, so please do not leave any rubbish. Also suitable for larger motorhomes. Our vehicle is 7.6 m long and 2.35 m wide. A little uneven, but it can be leveled. Very good mobile signal.
Great views down to Caernarfon, well off the beaten track. 5g and 30mb/sec on EE. Be wary on the road up, it's very tight so take it easy. Fine in an L2 Ducato, larger coach built motorhomes may find it a bit of a rough drive.
Nice and flat, little boggy in places but has some really good views. Good 4g signal on Tesco/O2. Really quiet night with minimal cars passing in the morning.
Nice views, flat ground, a little muddy in places. 2/3 bars of 4G all night. Easy to access and very quiet road.
