Route de l'Alexandre, 33680, Lacanau
Been here?
Large 5-star family campsite directly on a beach with multiple pools, waterslides, supermarket, and on-site restaurants. Overnight rates are expensive (from €67). The site is industrial in scale with many families and children, plus entertainment noise until late evening. Pine trees can make surfaces sticky. Recent reviews report variable pool cleanliness and maintenance responsiveness.

A bit too much like a holiday club for our taste. There were lots of children and entertainment noise. The facilities are faultless and the on-site restaurant was superb. It was expensive, but we do enjoy private facilities on our pitch as an occasional treat. Great if you have children.
Beautiful site for the whole family. Playground, pools, slides, and sports facilities deserve 5 stars. Points deducted because some showers had only cold water. The beach is beautiful, spacious, and natural. However, to use the toilet or take a shower, you have to walk 360 m back to the campsite. Excellent value for money.
67€ a night! I expect high quality but wasn’t what we experienced, cloudy slimy pool. Slides dangerous witnessed a woman slice her eye open, lifeguards weren’t to care. Dirty toilets with no toilet seats so you’re sat on ceramic. Pools inaccessible, kids everywhere and no actual pool space just windy lazy rivers. Adult pool just as busy. Beach access down a 10 minute path. Would not recommend
A great five-star family campsite! It offers everything for families with young and older children. Not cheap—you need to be aware of that!
The place is nice but industrial. Two nights cost €350. Some things do not work, and they say one thing but do not really care about the service, only sales. The children are happy with the pool and facilities. Definitely overpriced.
Great campsite with direct beach access. Several pools, supermarket, restaurants, surf school, and more. The sanitary facilities are cleaned around the clock. Some pine trees drip resin.
Wonderful campsite with everything you could imagine, and it would be difficult to criticize it, so it fully deserves 5 stars. But if you are looking for a peaceful, family-oriented camping atmosphere, keep looking, because this is more industrial in style, given the immense site and number of pitches. Spacious pitches with several size options. Be careful: there are many pine trees, so resin may fall.
Very large campsite with lots and lots of people, despite arriving before the school holidays began. The sanitary facilities are immaculate. For us, the resin from the tall pine trees caused a real problem: everything became sticky, including our dog, when we left after 5 days.
A huge open-air village/hotel in all its glory: you can really sense the financial comfort of its occupants, who are mostly foreigners. The only downside is the children's entertainment loudspeakers in the center of the village, broadcasting karaoke until 11 p.m. Not cool for those who want peace and quiet.
Nice campsite, but it is impossible to have two vehicles on the same pitch. Expensive, but with lots of great services! And only 2 minutes from the beach.
Magnificent campsite. Two nights on a large pitch with private sanitary facilities. Outstanding infrastructure. We will return.
Great location with direct beach access. Sanitary buildings are clean and modern. At certain times there is no hot water or only a limited supply. The cassette toilet disposal station is freely accessible at the sanitary building and paid when using CamperClean. Nice pools. Friendly staff. Large campsite with supermarket and bakery. Many young families.
Absolutely huge, huge, huge. Beautifully laid out, with several places to eat: pizza kiosk, snack bar, bar, and restaurant. Cool pool complex and a separate senior pool without children. Plenty of sports facilities. Supermarket. Pitches with their own sanitary facilities. Cassette emptying only with CamperClean for €2. You can also pressure-wash your vehicle. I will use that sometime.
A very beautiful site, with a lovely outdoor pool, playground, sports field, restaurants, and evening entertainment. Why not 5 stars? - The site is overrun by the 60+ generation, mostly from Germany, who are bothered by playing children. It is a family campsite, after all. - The site is extremely quiet at night, not suitable for night owls. Quiet hours are strictly enforced; you can only stay outside in silence.
Pitch too small, on fill, with pitches packed together and no privacy. Tiny sanitary facilities in prefabricated units, broken tap at the cassette-rinsing station, and beach-access beep system working poorly. This morning there was an excavator on a neighboring pitch. On the other hand, the pool, although the spa was not working, and the sports area are magnificent and pleasant. Does this campsite deserve 5 stars?
Great site, especially for families! Expensive, but everyone must decide that for themselves. Atlantic, dunes, sand; Lacanau has plenty going on, with restaurants, bars, and more. The site is about a 15-minute walk from the center. Excellent!
Professionally managed site, ideal for families. Everything needed is available on site.
We happened to stop here for a few days during our trip along the Atlantic and found it wonderful; we had a great time. A fantastic beach, a relaxation pool for adults only, and anyone coming with children will surely love the children's pool with its great slides.
