These are several popular lay-bys beside Croyde Road, offering spectacular sea and sunset views over Saunton Sands and Croyde Bay. There are 3 lay-bys, each fitting 2-3 campers, although larger vehicles may find them a squeeze. The road is busy during the day and the spot can be very windy. Overnight stays are not allowed during busy periods in peak summer.

Amazing spot with epic views. Stayed in our large Citreon relay which is as big as you’d want as it was quite a squeeze. 3 lay-bys in total which fit 2-3 campers each. We bagged a spot in the most westerly lay-by which had epic sea and sunset views of Saunton sands and the sea out from Croyde bay. Traffic calmed down about 10pm.
Great views but busy road. Very windy at times. There was a few good lay-bys to choose from but very popular.
The view is absolutely stunning. The house just a hundred meters away is the one on "the saddest episode of grand designs". 4 out of five for the simple fact you're literally next to the road and the day time traffic is frequent.
