20 Port de Campoloro, 20221, Santa-Maria-Poggio
Been here?
Parking area and starting point for a hike to a beautiful waterfall with a bathing pool. The parking is now charged at 5€ throughout, with no services, no lighting, uneven ground, and overgrown areas. The larger field beside the former parking area offers a few flatter places for motorhomes. The waterfall trail is attractive, but the bathing pool was very crowded and murky in mid-August.

Uneven, poorly maintained, overgrown, €5 charge without services, no lighting. We arrived at 10 p.m. and in the morning a very rude man told us that if we wanted to stay longer, we had to pay another €5. He let two enormous dogs loose, and when tourists arrived by car and got out with their dog, the animals fought. The tourists tied up their dog; the man did not. We decided to leave without seeing the waterfall.
Now costs €5 all the time. Camera and payment machine outside the season.
couldn't stand straight. crying babies and flies. we left. beautiful trail by the way, the hike, 9km round trip around the valley and up, and the waterfall was beautiful
The parking area is quite spacious, with very few vehicles at this time of year. That said, parking costs €5. It is possible to find a few flat places for a van.
The original small parking lot has been blocked off with stones since this year. Instead, a larger parking lot has been set up in a neighboring field, where a €5 parking fee must be paid from May 15 to October 15. In mid-August, the swimming hole was completely overcrowded and just a murky mess. I would avoid it during high season.
The parking lot is smaller than it appears in the photo, and the road right next to it is quite busy. It is indeed somewhat sloped, but we spent the night anyway. I would not stay a second night, but for one night it is a good spot.
Convenient parking as a starting point for the walk to the waterfall. Sloped and with few spaces, but quiet. A few cars pass by, but it is fine.
Very good for parking. I would not sleep there. Little space and sloped. Nice walk with a pleasant waterfall. The waterfall is not well signposted, but we reached it.
