6057 Route de Gros Jonc, 17580, Le Bois-Plage-en-Ré
Been here?
A seaside campsite with indoor and outdoor pools, a restaurant, shop, bike hire and direct access to the beach. Recent stays found the pitches somewhat irregular, with varying size, slope and proximity to chalets. The sanitary facilities are now described as ageing, and the campsite is considered expensive for a 5-star site. The setting is well placed for visiting the island by bicycle or free shuttle.

We stayed at the end of May. As for the campsite, the five stars stopped shining a long time ago; the pitches are somewhat awkward and the facilities are a little dated. Very expensive campsite for a five-star rating. The only advantage is that it is next to the sea. I will not return.Translating
We stayed one night on a premium pitch. The value for money is a little high. The aging indoor pool with jets is supposed to be relaxing, but it isn’t because children jump around everywhere. The outdoor pool is nice but too cold for May. Large shaded pitch, but be careful because some are awkwardly shaped. Dump station with shower water only.Translating
Very beautiful and well-maintained campsite by the sea, with indoor and outdoor pools. Since the regular pitches were occupied, we had a pitch with private bathroom facilities. That is incredibly luxurious. Nothing but praise for this campsite. Everything is available: restaurant, pétanque, bicycle rental. The campsite is also ideally located for exploring most of the island by bike.Translating
Very nice campsite visited in early May. The luxury pitches, which we tried, are very pleasant, but there are many differences from one pitch to another in size, slope, trees, and so on. Since occupancy was low, changing pitches was no problem; the team is very friendly. Next to the sea, with a pool, a toddlers’ pool, and a lovely warm indoor pool.Translating
Stayed from May 1 to May 5. We were in the area with the four-shell pitches. Quiet and centrally located, but some pitches are too close to the chalets. Good restaurant and on-site mini-market. Excellent children’s entertainment! It was uncrowded and quiet at this time of year. Great facilities. Indoor pool pleasantly warm but a little small; outdoor pool at 24°C.Translating
Campsite well located for visiting the island. You can visit the other towns—Saint-Martin-de-Ré, La Flotte and Sainte-Marie—using the cycle paths or the free Respi Ré shuttle from April to early July. Shuttles D1 and D2 follow the same route in opposite directions. They run once an hour, and the stop is next to the campsite mini-market.Translating
The reception staff were very unfriendly when I asked about staying for one night. You can only camp here for at least one week.Translating
Wonderful stay, spacious pitch between sand and grass, with some planted screening. Excellent facilities—very large, with walk-in showers, an individual sink and hairdryer. Well-stocked grocery shop. Heated indoor pool at 28°C, outdoor pool and sun loungers. Direct access to the beach and cycle paths. Quiet. Great playground. Excellent restaurant. Ideal for families.Translating
Clean campsite, great service, but online reservations are overpriced.Translating
Poorly maintained campsite. On our pitch, we could not get under the branches of a pine tree because our motorhome is 2.35 m high, so maintenance staff had to intervene. My husband could not position himself as he wished on the so-called prestige pitch because of sand. Very disappointed and very expensive; I do not recommend it.Translating
Two nights in a motorhome at a beautiful campsite, already fairly busy for the end of June. The staff were particularly attentive and polite. Its proximity to the beach and cycle paths makes it attractive. Takeaway meals and the mini-market were very convenient. Only the pool is a little dated for the campsite’s star rating. Our stay was pleasant!Translating
Nice place with drawbacks, not five-star quality. Pitches are sometimes small, poorly arranged and uneven. The focus is clearly on rental accommodation. Renovated facilities. Second sanitary block closed. Pool showing its age, small and overcrowded. Children’s playground and sports field are fine. Some children’s entertainment. Nice offices for remote work can be booked through the restaurant via the Moffi platform.Translating
We spent two nights with our motorhome without private facilities. The showers are new and spacious. Shaded area. Access to a beautiful beach, mini-market, pool and playground.Translating
