2024 Avenida del Faro, 39170, Bareyo
Been here?
A sloping campsite with grassy pitches near the lighthouse, walking routes and beaches reachable by vehicle. There is a pool, animals, separated sanitary areas and accepted dogs, but shade is scarce. The upper sanitary block can be clean, while the lower facilities are dirty and old; showers may be only lukewarm. Waste sorting is unavailable, and young people and dogs can create regular noise.

Large grassy pitch at the top, close to the lighthouse. But the showers are barely functional, with lukewarm water at best; there is no waste separation, the welcome is mediocre, and young people and dogs regularly make noise.
We stayed for two nights. I liked the clean upper sanitary facilities, the swimming pool and the animals at the bottom of the campsite. I did not like the very dirty and dated lower sanitary facilities, or the pitches marked out by wooden posts with no shade. The welcome was average. This campsite is overpriced for what it offers.
Friendly welcome. Two sanitary areas with separate male and female showers and toilets. Hot showers. Dogs accepted. The only drawback is that there is hardly any shade, so bring an awning or gazebo. Walking routes are available from the campsite, and the beaches are not far away by vehicle; the nearest is otherwise a 30-minute walk.
Not worth it, certainly not at this price. Unfortunately we stayed here because we wanted to visit Santander and there was not much nearby. You park on a very sloping grass field. Also, skip the showers and toilets by the grass field—they are disgusting. The showers and toilets in the building at the entrance are better. Two stars anyway for the friendly staff.
We arrived at 6 p.m. and were warmly welcomed at reception, shown around and allowed to choose our pitch. Once settled, we took a shower; the bathrooms were clean and the showers hot. As a first experience with a minivan, I would say it went very well. Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a lead. Everything was excellent!
We came as two families, with a motorhome, van and caravan. We booked two adjacent pitches in May for August, but they put all of us on one pitch. While there, we said we wanted to leave early, but there was no flexibility. The facilities leave much to be desired: the bathrooms in the camping area are cramped, with poor cleanliness and maintenance. The staff were rude and reprimanded us for emptying the black tank or showering in the early hours.
The welcome was very friendly, but the value for money is completely wrong. Great view, but the grass was unmown. No hot water except in the showers. The showers have absolutely nowhere to put anything. €30 is too much.
Basic campsite, but it does the job for one night. Swimming pool for children and a playground. A lovely walk leads to a lighthouse, with magnificent views. €50 for two adults and two children.
We booked through the app, arrived and were quickly met at reception. Check-in was easy and we were immediately shown where to park. The ground was slightly uneven, but we have leveling chocks. The showers and toilets were immaculate, and there were plenty of them. We used the washing machine and hung out our laundry. Everyone is very friendly. The children used the small but adequate pool. You can hear a local bar.
Absolutely awful! No toilet paper, no water or waste facilities! Cold water in a construction container. The pitch is extremely sloping. Three people, €35 for nothing—a meadow. There is a free parking area next door; park there instead.
Basic campsite, but sufficient if you want a quiet night, since there are not many people here, and to fill up with water and electricity. There are new prefabricated toilet facilities. It has a swimming pool and a small children's playground that is quite run-down but usable. Dogs are allowed. The pitches are not level, but you can choose wherever you feel most comfortable.
Very basic campsite; some pitches are not completely level. For a camper and two people, one night without electricity cost €27. Basic but serves its purpose! Very close to Ajo Lighthouse!
