Private forest homestay, cold bathroom

Helena is a wonderful host; our children enjoyed the company of her son. The surroundings are unbeatable, full of nature, chickens, sheep... it is fantastic to wake up like this. Totally recommended for the kindness, welcome and the place itself. If we return, we will definitely come back. Thank you for everything, Helena and family.

Just spent two nights in our campervan. Helena is so nice, welcoming & funny! Quickly responds & gives great tips on visiting around Coimbra. The nice flat lot right behind their house and use of the pool house bathroom and kitchen was perfect! We enjoyed the sheep chickens dogs cats and beautiful sunsets! Helena was a very gracious hostess and we’d happily return! Highly recommend!

What a wonderful five days we spent with Helena and her family. You can use the swimming pool and pool house, which has a toilet and shower, though the water is cold, and enjoy the large garden overlooking the sheep and chickens. Coimbra is easy to reach by electric bike, 7.5 km away via a beautiful road. Wonderful! Thank you, dear Helena, for your hospitality and the lovely days.

We stayed here for two nights. Helena is very kind and helpful. The entrance is wide and the surface is tiled. We also used extra services such as the washing machine, hot shower and... a private tango lesson, which is highly recommended! The next day we visited the city conveniently by Uber, €7 each way. Thank you to Helena and Dimitris for sharing their home with us.

A great place to stop and sleep, cool off in the pool in summer and visit Coimbra easily by Uber. Helena and Dimitri's friendliness is a 10 out of 10, and the place is super clean and super quiet for sleeping!

We came in mid-July with our three children after visiting Coimbra; it was really close, which was convenient. Helena arranged for us to enter and use the pool before she returned. We were also able to enjoy the pool the following morning, which was wonderful. Thank you, Helena, for the warm welcome!

Warm and friendly welcome. Access to the pool after a day of sightseeing is very welcome. Very easy to access, even for a large motorhome. Access to Coimbra by Uber makes visiting easy and stress-free. Our son enjoyed playing with Andreas... Many thanks to Héléna and Dimitris for everything.

A very professional welcome from Helena, with excellent command of French and good knowledge of Coimbra. She is also very kind and available. A quiet place with parking facing the pool and large garden. Slightly expensive considering the services and basic facilities offered: one toilet and a cold-water shower. Recommended for visiting Coimbra.

My partner and I stayed with this lovely family over Christmas and had an amazing experience! We were able to have warm showers and use the pool house where we played table tennis and enjoyed watching the animals. A perfect way to spend Christmas when away from family and friends. We really appreciate the hospitality and even received some delicious oranges and biscuits on Christmas Day! Thank you!

Helena made us feel so welcome at her home. We pitched at the rear of the property on a hard surface near the pool and farm area. For a small fee, Helena drove us to Coimbra which is a beautiful and interesting city. We were glad that we took Helena’s advice on where to go and what to see. Helena picked a generous bagful of oranges for us on our departure. Lovely, lovely lady.

We spent a night in September at this beautiful place with Dimitris and his wonderful wife. When we learned that Dimitris is a very well-known tango teacher, we took the opportunity to have a tango lesson with him, which was truly an experience that I can wholeheartedly recommend to every user! We spent two nights for our first experience in a van, and we felt safe! The pool house provided is a real bonus, with books, games, a microwave, fresh water for washing dishes, and a bathroom with toilet. Huge thanks to Helena, who is incredibly nice and made us feel comfortable as complete novices. We will definitely come back.
