Been here?
This daytime parking place near Sinaia offers a view toward the surrounding ski area and is used as a starting point for walks. It is currently affected by construction: on weekends the road may be passable, but spaces are occupied by construction vehicles, while it is closed during the week. Unfortunately, there is currently construction work. The road was passable at the weekend, but all spaces were occupied by construction vehicles. We are now parked on a slope. During the week the road is closed. It looks like a long-term project. The road is full of potholes.
Beautiful spot at the large ski area. Internet reception is perfect, but there are neither bears nor dogs at the spot. The latter are only found around the ski lifts and restaurants.
A spot with a great view, although not directly from the camper. No one came to see us, not even the gendarmes. A few dogs were present and barked, probably at animals! We even got to see two foxes. Phone signal was okay. No bins.
The police come by here! We had a long discussion, and the fine for staying in the nature reserve/national park is 500 lei. The previous reviewers were probably lucky, but we definitely would not risk it again. According to the law, it is simply not allowed. The view is really beautiful, though. Internet is also good up there.
Good spot for starting a hike. However, there is a lot of traffic all day and even a little at night. No bears last night, but a fox spent several hours in the parking area.
Road closed in January.
Quiet and well located for starting a hike. No bears either.
Great spot next to the viewpoint over the town. We spent the night here after visiting the castle, but unfortunately did not see any bears. They are filling in the potholes on the road, which is very good. Easy access by motorhome.
We stayed two nights, one of them a little lower down near the church with the occupants’ permission. Unfortunately, we saw no bears. The view from the spot is beautiful! However, it is unacceptable to see so much rubbish here in a protected natural area.
Very busy during the day, but in the evening and at night we were completely alone. Beautiful place for lovely walks. No bears spotted.
Magnificent viewpoint, 200 m below the Cota 1400 cable car. Nice walks are available. Busy during the day but no one at night. Room for one or two motorhomes, no more. We were alone in the world, as happy as kings!
Beautiful spot overlooking Sinaia. We stayed three nights in complete peace, although it is busy during the day, especially on weekends. Ideal for hikes. One evening we saw a chamois right behind us at the viewpoint, and a bear farther along the road at around 9 p.m. Fantastic!
Spent a quiet night with a breathtaking panorama. Unfortunately, we did not see any bears.
Breathtaking view from the viewpoint. Parking is right next to the road up to the cable car statuon. Seems like it’s on the bear trail as well - 2 young bears came up to our van but they were harmless. We parked right at the entrance of the viewing point and had quite a bit of movement with visitors walking around our van to get to the viewpoint.
We spent a wonderful and peaceful night here. Two young bears visited us at 7 p.m. and were adorable to watch. A real experience. You can hike from here and also take the cable car. The spot is recommended.
Great spot for watching bears. Two young ones came near us, but we saw no adults. The road up is a little bumpy, but it is passable if you drive slowly. Easy access to hiking trails from the spot.
