Unnamed Road, 12720, Saint-André-de-Vézines
Been here?
This spacious, clean wild parking spot lies at the start of hikes to the Rajol cornices, with picnic tables and several places to stay without crowding. It is isolated, quiet at night and offers panoramic views, with the chaos of Roquesaltes and its arch about 15 min on foot. Access is generally suitable for motorhomes up to 7,5 m, though there are some bumps and hollows. Processionary caterpillars were reported in early May 2025.

Great place to stop before doing the Rajol corniche. One small downside, though: there was a big party not far away that evening. Not necessarily what you are looking for when spending a quiet night in nature haha.
Wonderful, magnificent, very clean spot with a lovely view. I spent a very quiet night in a rooftop tent. There were also two motorhomes, but we were not crowded together at all. A few minutes’ walk away are magnificent hikes, especially with breathtaking views over the Rajol corniches. Protected and very well-maintained site, but bring your own rubbish bin. No toilet.
Magnificent! Very quiet, little traffic. There were only three converted vehicles, and the space is large enough that we could not hear the other travelers. Be careful, though, of a short stretch with many bumps and hollows (a Citroën C4 Cactus managed it fine).
A complete change of scenery. It is quiet and isolated, in the middle of nature. There are some walkers during the day, but the night is absolutely peaceful. As for access, there is no need to worry with a 7.5 m motorhome.
Spring 2026. Absolutely magnificent site; we were alone in the world. Very easy track for all vehicles, with a few minor bumps. No caterpillars on the ground at the end of April. The sunset over the chaos and the arch can be reached on foot in 15 minutes. Also see the farm and the Rajol corniches, with many griffon vultures. No water, electricity, or bins; self-sufficient only. Respect this splendid site.
beautiful spot! Far from the village, with a magnificent view of the sky and stars as there is no light pollution. Even in December we woke up to a bright and sunny morning, with the entire parking lot to ourselves :) please respect and keep area clean.
Deserves a sixth star! Far from everything, roads, and lights, with an incredible starry sky and absolute peace. Easy access, several spaces without getting in each other's way. And it's clean. We were alone. The Roquesaltes chaos, 15 minutes away on foot, is worth visiting.
I am only giving it 3 stars to draw dog owners' attention. The area is full of processionary caterpillar nests. As of May 3, they are out. Be very careful with animals and children. Otherwise, the place is really lovely.
Easy access, quiet, with a beautiful panorama. Several spaces, more or less secluded. Hiking trail to the Roquesaltes chaos starts here. Clean, with tables available. Ideal spot, at least outside the season.
Exceptional, quiet spot far from the road. We passed through without any problem in a motorhome, going slowly and watching out for the potholes. At the end of September we were alone. There is room for several vehicles. Several picnic tables but no bin. The place was perfectly clean. Magnificent hikes on site.
Very quiet, with mostly shaded picnic tables and magnificent scenery a few minutes' walk away, including a path with explanatory signs suitable for children. Spaces are more or less flat. The access road has a few ruts that are still easy to cross and is passable even after heavy rain.
Very quiet and clean but a little windy. Several spaces.
Magnificent place and site to see. A little windy.
