A remote wild spot beside the sea, with views of the Krýsuvíkurbjarg cliffs. The gravel road takes 10-15min from the main road and is accessible without 4x4, although older reports describe crevasses and large rocks. It can be peaceful, but autumn gusts may reach several hundred km/h, and overnight stays are not permitted.

Fine, but absolutely avoid it in autumn because gusts of several hundred kilometres per hour woke us up and forced us to move our van so we could sleep with less noise.
Great place to spend the night, quiet and facing the sea and cliffs! A gravel road leads to the seaside, taking 10–15 minutes from the main road, and it is accessible without a 4x4. There was no wind when we were there.
Very beautiful spot, but beware: a 4x4 is necessary to get there. Cracks and large rocks! Otherwise, fantastic!
Quiet place with amazing views. Maybe windy in winter. Totally recommended.
Windy and exposed, but otherwise a peaceful and remote place to spend the night. About 30 feet from the cliffs, but there are lots of chains preventing you from walking off the cliffs. No signs forbidding overnight stay. Saw the Aurora here @ 0100.
