Derrynacrannog Rd, BT93 3FP, Belleek
Been here?
A tranquil lakeside parking area beside Keenaghan Lough, with no services and some distant road noise. The original parking area is now inaccessible because of a 2m height barrier, but a wide pull-in a few metres beforehand provides a quiet overnight stop. Fishermen must retain access, and local boat-trailer manoeuvring may be affected.

As others have said, there's now a 2m height barrier so we couldn't access the parking area at the end of the road. However, a few metres before the barrier there is a wide pull in sheltered by trees at the edge of the Lough. We just spent a very tranquil night here with no issues. 2 dog walkers and one car went past in the evening but nothing else after we'd gone to bed.
May 2025 There is now a height restriction barrier in place, so we couldn't access this area.
A local approached me and asked me to move as they needed the space to turn their boat trailers. Moved on as didn't like disturbing them.
Stayed here last night. What a beautiful location right by the side of a large lake. Now it was a Monday night so it was quiet and I’m sure at the weekends it might be busier. I met some of the locals and the fishermen and they where friendly and pointed out some other landmarks that I was unaware of. The ancient abbey for one. An excellent overnight stop with a picnic table by the tranquil lake
Quiet at night, but only for brown trout fly fishing.
