A lovely, flat, free car park down a narrow lane provides a peaceful overnight stop close to Lydney town centre. There are no visible restrictions, and nearby facilities include pubs, takeaway food, sports grounds, a lake and wildlife. Follow the faded free-car-park sign and do not turn left on the final approach.

We stayed comfortably here for one night on our way to Wales and wandered up to the nearby pub for a drink and got a Thai takeaway over the road the lady working in the pub mentioned its a quiet spot for an overnighter
Great spot. Quiet. Free. No visible restrictions. Out of the way but almost in the the town centre. Don't get tempted to turn left as you come up the final bit. Cracking overnight stop.
Lovely spot just off the high street but very peaceful. Lydney RFC & AFC, tennis courts, cricket grounds and basketball court just around the corner. Then there’s a lovely lake with plenty of wildlife the other side of the football pitch. Free parking without restrictions. Stayed here 3 times now.
