Beach parking, height barrier

Clean parking area with beach access a few meters away and quick access to the town center. Funfair, market, and more. Ideal spot for a van. No noise at night and little traffic. Picnic area right next door. The only negative was that the sanitary facilities were not very clean during our visit; unfortunately, some users do not respect the place. Beautiful beach.

We stopped here for a meal with two motorhomes over 7 meters long in high season. Really nice place, with five picnic tables—two under the trees for shade—and a beach just a few steps away.

Beautiful area for a couple of nights. The park up is pretty level and well maintained. No shade for large campers though. Well maintained Toilets just a few paces away. Shady picnic tables in the car park across the road. The beach is gorgeous. 48hr limit which is enforced.

Great spot! Quiet under the pine trees, with a small area on the right as you enter. Beach 50 meters away and the town center very close by bike.

About four places for vehicles over 2 meters. No shade and exposed to the wind. We stayed two nights; maximum stay is 48 hours. One wonders whether there are checks, as a van stayed more than 24 hours in a disabled space in the parking area a few meters farther toward the beach. Beach toilets have paper, water, and soap, which is the best thing about the spot. Very busy at this time of year. Dog mess on the path to the beach.

Stayed here for two nights. A quiet spot with shaded spaces, close to two self-cleaning public toilets. Near the beach; the dog-friendly beach is a little farther to the right past the rocks, according to a local. Nowhere to put rubbish. The height barrier says 2 meters, but it is more like 2.4 meters.

I confirm the other comments: accessible to vans and very peaceful. When leaving, I picked up the empty cider bottle left by the Trafic next to us, which I suppose they had forgotten.

Excellent spot not far from the beach. Perfect for one night. We arrived around 7 p.m. and there was no space at the front for large motorhomes. A 2-meter height bar is installed, but I passed underneath with my 2.12-meter van and still had easily 25 centimeters of clearance.

Usual story 3 campers unnecessarily taking up four spaces today midday. Headed over to La Flotte instead where parking was much fairer.

Nice pitch, with room for three or four motorhomes without a height limit; otherwise the limit is 2 meters, but we got through with our Vivaro van and rigid rooftop tent, measuring 2.30 meters. Toilets nearby and direct beach access. Very quiet and clean place.

To reach this parking area, follow the sign for Plage du Petit Sergent. Parking permitted for 48 hours. Toilets and beach nearby. Quiet area with only the sound of the sea. Thanks to the town council; we will return.

We were lucky on Saturday around 11 a.m. to get the fourth spot, if everyone parks properly. There was still space on the side. Wonderfully quiet.

Five stars for the excellent location, proximity to the beach, and unbeatable price (zero). Ten stars for the nice campers from Heidelberg and the UK who made room for us.

There is space for four tall camper vans. Two were parked very close to the sides, but the inconsiderate selfish camper in the centre took easily two spaces. We parked on the shoulder of the road nearby. Close to the beach and self-cleaning toilets (2), on a quiet dead-end road. You can listen to the wind and waves all night. The price is right!

One motorhome and one van. There is an area without a height barrier for 3–4 motorhomes, but it was full. We spent one night beside the area on the shoulder of Rue du Petit Sergent without incident. Near the beach, with automatic toilets and nearby rubbish bins.

Parking area with access to the beach and toilets a few meters away. Quiet at night. Completely adequate for a relaxing night.

We found a space when we arrived around 6:30 p.m. Excellent level spot right next to a beautiful beach. The very pleasant center of Le Bois-Plage-en-Ré is 10–15 minutes away.

With our 2.80-meter van, arriving at 5:30 p.m., we were lucky to find a space in this parking area. Very close to a beautiful fine-sand beach, with a few white stones to delight the children who built towers. Clean public toilets next door. Very quiet night.
