Excellent sanitary facilities and playground, with a friendly welcome. 80% permanent pitches and 15% for travelers. The gorge is easy to reach by bicycle, with a slight uphill section at the end. We were first assigned a bare, cramped pitch, but it was no problem to stand on the vacant pitch opposite the playground.

Super-friendly operators and modern sanitary building. Otherwise, the atmosphere is rather plain. The location is excellent for transport, but that also means constant traffic noise. Certainly good for simply spending the night in a camper and as a base for excursions, but not the right place to stay and relax.

Very beautiful campsite. We are here for one night with a motorhome. Plenty of free spaces. Wonderful showers and toilets. Stunning. The reception staff are very friendly and kind. The gorge is 10 minutes away by car. We did not use breakfast.

Very beautiful, well-located site. The grounds are very well maintained and lovingly designed. The sanitary facilities are grandiose and worthy of a four-star site. The bread-roll service is excellent, and breakfast is even available if needed. Waste disposal, fresh-water supply and drainage, a dishwashing station and washing machines are available. Very friendly and helpful owners. Good public transport connections are available if needed.

I really cannot understand the good reviews; only the pitches at the very back have any charm. In the front area there is constant coming and going and the pitches are very small. Down below there is only sun. The sanitary facilities are clearly a plus, but absolutely not worth the price to me. The bread-roll service is good and the owner is very friendly. Bus connections are poor in summer. Only three stars from me.

Fantastic! We stayed one night here on 12.12.2025 and really enjoyed Heidi's hospitality and friendliness. Good food in the bar, freshly prepared breakfast and wonderful views of the neighbouring alps, and all at a reasonable price. But the icing on the cake was the fantastic shower and toilet facilities, all new, all sparkling clean. We will certainly visit again

Incredible sanitary facilities for a campsite! Welcoming staff despite our late arrival. Spa costs €15 but is only open from 12 pm to 6 pm, so we missed it.

Excellent camping site. The bathrooms and showers are of the highest standard we’ve seen. There is a very nice playground for kids and rabbits you can pet. Not cheap, but the price matches the high quality.

Spacious pitches, although not always perfectly level. But with bathrooms like these, it deserves every star. Extremely kind staff.

We stayed here for three days. Very friendly. The facilities are excellent. We have rarely seen such a beautiful and neat toilet and shower building. A beautiful base for visiting Alpendorf and the Liechtensteinklamm. In short, highly recommended.

Wonderful campsite with great facilities! The sanitary facilities are a dream; you can even rent a private bathroom, and there are several. There are also additional paid wellness and fitness areas. Waste disposal and fresh-water services for motorhomes are very well arranged and equally clean and well maintained. You should definitely try the breakfast on offer!

The pluses are the luxury sanitary facilities. However, from 9 pm onward I had no more hot water; the mountain view, welcome and sauna (€15) were good. The minuses are the sloping, unmarked pitches—we were essentially on a car park. The restaurant is open only three days. Too expensive for the pitches, and there is not even water at the pitch, just electricity.

What a great site. We had to stop here unexpectedly because of a vehicle breakdown, and we are glad we spontaneously got a pitch. A great place, excellent bathhouses and a fantastic view of the mountains. Huge praise to Heidi for the uncomplicated service! We will gladly come again.

Beautiful view, quiet place, very clean, nice and friendly staff.

Very clean luxury bathrooms, worthy of a spa. However, the parking areas are in the sun, with very few shaded spots, all occupied by long-term campers. The stated price is €34 for the pitch, but with various supplements—tourist tax, access card for the bathrooms, etc.—one night with a van and two people costs €52. It is still just a pitch, so that seems excessive for a gravel area in the sun.

Friendly welcome. Beautiful, hotel-chic sanitary facilities. But the beautiful view and tranquility mentioned in the other comments are exaggerated. You can hear the road below the campsite all night. Fine for a stopover, though.

Campsite on grass. Delimited pitches with a considerable slope. New, clean and well-equipped facilities. €49 per night for the caravan and two people.

Beautiful surroundings, mountains all arround you! Spatious parking spots arranged in levels so you can enjoy the view in each lane. Sanitary facilities: next level glamping. Basic fitness & sauna (extra charge): Bio Kraütensauna with special smell(s), finnish sauna & relaxation area. Town & groceries: 10min walk. Quiet by night but be aware that the church nearby sometimes sounds it’s bells.

Exceptionally friendly welcome; we were allowed to choose our own spot. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the town, which has a village-like charm. The sanitary facilities are incredibly luxurious and included in the price. You can hear the road, but it is quiet at night and did not bother us. Just under 10 minutes' walk to the center of lovely Sankt Johann. Fresh bread rolls can be ordered. Excellent for a stopover!

Friendly and helpful operators, a beautiful modern site with everything you could wish for. The complete opposite of the other site in town.

We stayed here from December 28 to January 2, 2025. A dream of a campsite. We received a warm welcome from the very friendly operators. The sanitary building is new and exceptionally clean! We ate at the restaurant—extremely delicious! Bread-roll service and everything you need are available! Five stars are not enough here.

A superb campsite, terraced on the hillside with level, natural and well-maintained grounds. The sanitary facilities are a dream; everything is new! We could choose our pitch freely. On our next visit to Austria, we will return to Wieshof Gen. Kind regards, and keep up the good work—it delights every camper's heart.
