Normans Bay Camping and Caravanning Club Site

A typical Camping and Caravan site. Very organised and clean with demarcated pitches. The pricing is complicated, not transparent and relatively expensive. You can clearly hear the railway next to the site. However the location is good because it’s just across the road from a pebbly beach on a quiet road easy for cycling.

Great site, really helpful staff. The beach is beautiful. The playground for the kids is just right. Highly recommended, especially compared to similar priced sites that have less well maintained facilities. Pub with decent food and outside playground roughly 20 min walk away. make sure to use the footpath from Norman's Bay for an easier trip if traveling foot.

A complete rip-off. Seriously overpriced. No vibe. Lots and lots of rules. Felt like being back in school!

As club members, we paid €65 for two people, our van and two nights. We had a great pitch and enjoyed walks on the beach with our dog. Really friendly and easy to book. The beach is great and swimming there is also very pleasant. Showers and toilets are clean. We can only recommend the site.✦Translating

Well maintained and clean. But £71 for one night is completely excessive! Sanitary facilities rather old, railway line/train clearly audible, sea nearby but no sea view and the beach is nothing special; the site offers nothing except a flat meadow. Never again at this price.✦Translating

A beautiful and well-maintained campsite very close to the sea. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The facilities were well maintained. In autumn it was £47 per night. Perfect for charging everything once and then going wild camping again.✦Translating

Since we did not want to spend the night there and were not members, the very friendly staff allowed us to use the facilities and shower for two hours for £7. Apparently this option exists at all campsites in this chain—good to know, a positive experience.✦Translating

Apart from being extremely overpriced (£60 per night in august), it's also boring. No pool, no bar, no noise after 10pm. There are some horrible rules about awnings and wind breakers. Eight staff policing the site. Poor signal, no Internet. it's SO windy, the seawater had sewage in it, so we couldn't swim in it. Not my kind of site, so I'll not be back.

Very beautiful, spacious campsite, very close to the beach. We had a nice gravel pitch, nicely divided into plots, sanitary facilities clean, super-friendly staff. You are guided to your pitch and even given help with maneuvering. We paid £74 for two nights with one adult and two children, including electricity; as club members it would have been £15 less.✦Translating
