Been here?
A large, well-serviced campsite near the beach and only about 10 minutes from the ferry harbour. It is especially convenient for ferry connections, with clean facilities, a playground, bakery and Thai takeaway. The site is busy with constant arrivals and departures, and recent comments describe considerable evening noise, strong wind and no shaded areas. Showers cost 5kd for 3min.

Typical transit campsite. Lively coming and going at almost every time of day. Nevertheless, a nice campsite with everything you need, including a children's playground.
Perfect for the night before the ferry. The sanitary facilities are clean. You can use hotplates, ovens, and kettles provided free of charge.
Very expensive campsite that takes advantage of its proximity to the ferries to cram in customers. You end up packed right next to the neighboring tent; privacy is not an option! It is extremely windy! On the plus side, the sanitary facilities are clean, but the showers cost 5 DKK for 3 minutes, even though the campsite is already too expensive! I do not recommend it, but I do not know if there are other options...
Large campsite without a single shady spot. Its only advantage is that it allows you to spend one night before taking the ferry. Although there is hot water at every tap, the showers cost extra!
Too bad—we were looking forward to a quiet site and beautiful sunsets in the front row. In reality, it is chaotic here, noisy until late evening, and apparently a transit stop on the way to Norway. Party atmosphere until late. We are glad we only booked two days and will not return.
We are more than disappointed! Anyone looking for peace and quiet is in the wrong place here. People are constantly coming and going. Some even think they have to play volleyball between the vehicles at 8 p.m.! We will not return. It feels like a transit site.
Ideal before taking a ferry to Norway. Very welcoming and accommodating staff. Numerous quality services. Apparently it fills up very quickly in season. Great spot for sunset.
Beautiful campsite, very well located for the ferry to Norway :) We stayed here for one night with a tent and a rooftop tent. The sanitary facilities are fine, perhaps with a few too few showers, but that is not a problem. There is a Thai snack bar right on site :)
A dovecote is nothing compared with the coming and going at this site. We stayed two nights on the grass without electricity (unfortunately it was not cheaper), directly in the arrival path. You have to like that. The Wi-Fi was extremely poor or nonexistent, the sanitary facilities were okay, the bread rolls were delicious, and the sunsets spectacular.
Beautifully located site for waiting for the ferry after a long drive. Everything you need is available. We will definitely come back.
A friendly welcome and a very pleasant site! Ideal before or after a crossing. Very clean facilities.
Beautiful site right by the water. Ten minutes to the ferry port. Sanitary facilities excellent and clean. Fresh, delicious (!) bread rolls in the morning. Very friendly welcome. Gladly again anytime.
The campsite is really beautifully located—right on the cliffs with a fantastic view of the North Sea and very close to a picturesque lighthouse. The sanitary facilities and all the equipment are excellent and very clean. However, the site is quite crowded for its location, surely because of its convenient proximity to the ferry port. For one or two nights, it is highly recommended! The price is somewhat high, but the unique location fully justifies it. One thing to note: showers cost extra and require a 5-Danish-kroner coin. A huge plus is the exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful staff. There is also an excellent bread-roll service, so you can enjoy fresh baked goods in the morning. A well-stocked little shop on site provides the necessary everyday essentials.
Large, almost level grassy site. Freshwater and waste disposal, electricity at the pitch, clean sanitary facilities, washing machine, and bread-roll service. The location is perfect, directly by the sea and beach, about a 10-minute walk to the town with shops and restaurants, and five minutes by car to the ferry terminal. The ladies at reception are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The free Wi-Fi is rather poor.
Fully equipped site. Very nice staff. We have been here for the second time and will come again.
Spacious grassy site directly by the sea. Extremely friendly service staff. Clean sanitary facilities in sufficient quantity. Bakery service from 7 a.m. Fantastic! Lighthouse and bunker in the immediate vicinity. Lovely walk.
Great campsite right by the sea and close to the ferry. Good, clean sanitary facilities. Very nice operators. It is worth staying a few days and enjoying the peace and quiet by the sea.
Perfect campsite for one night if you need the ferry before or after. Fast, straightforward check-in. Shower costs extra. Small shop with breakfast available. Electricity available for a fee.
Very nice campsite right by the sea! There are very large, clean sanitary facilities and a kitchen where you can cook and wash dishes. Only a few minutes to the ferry to Norway.
Quiet, well-located campsite below the lighthouse. Sea view included. Very friendly welcome. Excellent sanitary facilities. We visited Skagen from here and took the Fjord Line ferry to Kristiansand in the morning.
Very friendly welcome, great pitch with sea view, good and clean sanitary facilities, fresh bread rolls! We would be happy to return.
Beautiful location by the beach, inviting you to take walks. Friendly staff. Clean sanitary facilities. Convenient for reaching the ferry. Pitches are somewhat cramped.
Good campsite for sleeping nearby before or after the ferry. Everything is rather practical and geared toward quick processing. Despite the constant arrivals and departures, we had a quiet night.
Spacious parking spaces, smooth check-in, within walking distance of the town with restaurants, a harbor, the lighthouse, and the terminals. Very spacious showers and toilets with hair dryers. Waste sorting, gray-water disposal, and toilet cleaner. Showers and electricity cost extra.
One of the nicest sites on my trips to Denmark and Norway. Directly by the sea and surrounded by relaxing nature. Ideal with a dog. Sanitary facilities always clean and available in sufficient numbers. Super-friendly people at reception. Small shop and bread-roll service. Many people use the site only as a stopover before or after the ferry. I always stay several days because it is so beautiful.
Beautiful pitch! Great location with lovely walking opportunities! The sanitary facilities are also well maintained and clean. An absolute recommendation is the small food stand opposite reception, where you can order, among other things, very delicious Pad Thai. Super tasty and highly recommended!!! Gladly again!
Beautiful site with a top view. Sanitary facilities and waste disposal are great. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, there is a lot of disturbance on the site, with constant arrivals and departures because almost everyone uses the ferries. €45 plus 5 kroner for three minutes of showering is simply not appropriate. Wi-Fi is very slow and keeps dropping out.
Lovely location! You can walk straight from the campsite into the dunes and onto the beach. Everything was very tidy and the facilities were excellent. There was even an oven. Everything was very neat. Late check-in was also possible.
Very large, spacious campsite with all necessary services: fresh-water and waste disposal, electricity at the pitch, very clean sanitary facilities, washing machine, and bread-roll service. The location is perfect, directly by the sea and beach, about a 10-minute walk to town with shops and restaurants, and five minutes by car to the ferry terminal. The ladies at reception are exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Perfect campsite for the Norway–Denmark ferry. Very nice staff. The sanitary facilities are clean and plentiful. Although we parked in the second or third row, we had sea views on two sides.
The correct price is 145 kroner, about €20. The shower must be paid for separately.
Stopover before departing for Norway. Campsite with all amenities. Sea view. Excellent welcome from the two receptionists. Recommended if you need to pass through here.
Super nice hosts, super clean, sensational pitch under the lighthouse with a view of the sea. Totally dog-friendly. 5+.
Best place to start my trip to Norway. After a trip from Antwerp, this is where my holiday started! Lovely people and very good “pistolets” in te morning. View and sunset were amazing. Truly advise to stop here to start your adventure! All facilities there!
Wonderful welcome—we arrived after 8 p.m. and the person waited for us! The sanitary facilities and showers are very clean, hair dryers are available, and the area is heated. One room is designated for washing dishes. In the morning, bread and croissants are sold—all facing the sea with beautiful pitches.
Great location, excellent operators. An all-round beautiful site. We will gladly return!
Great location, I had a pitch with a sea view. Top sanitary facilities. Friendly operators. Small shop with fresh baked goods in the morning.
Beautiful pitches with sea views. All facilities for a motorhome are available. The sanitary facilities are tidy. We initially had a pitch somewhat farther from the electricity supply, so our 25-meter cable was not long enough. No problem switching with another pitch.
Great site and very friendly welcome. Showers and toilets were all clean and good. Lounge with TV. A wonderful barbecue area with a Napoleon gas grill and gas cookers available free of charge; the grills were perfectly clean.
We were here from October 1 to 2 to be at the ferry early and without complications. Very friendly welcome, everything you need is available! Five minutes to the ferry. Gladly again!
We stayed here for one night. We had a large pitch overlooking the water—beautiful. Clean sanitary facilities, kitchen with seating, bread-roll service, gas service, and toilet disposal. Short walk to the lighthouse, which you can climb; you can also stretch your legs on the beach.
Superb campsite. Next to the beach and town. Great facilities.
A splendid, clean campsite. Friendly staff who even speak German. Beautiful location with a sea view. Highly recommended.
Very nice campsite with a friendly, German-speaking welcome. Clean and plentiful sanitary facilities. We stayed one night after the ferry.
Always happy to return. We find the site and town very beautiful. Sanitary area, family bathrooms, kitchen, lounge, washing machine and dryer, nice staff, and great pitches. You can choose where to park. We like this site and the area, so we keep coming back. *****
Excellent site with everything you need. Pitches are allocated according to vehicle size and clearly marked. There is more than enough privacy. In front of the site there is also a quick-stop area, though after closing time only cassette emptying is possible. The center, shops, and restaurants are easily reachable on foot; the surroundings are better explored by bicycle because of the many industrial facilities.
Official rating: 4.5 stars. Solid campsite with smaller pitches. There are no boundaries between individual pitches, so it can become very cramped. Washrooms are fine; showers cost 5 kroner for three minutes. Fresh bread rolls can be bought at reception. Beautiful sunset and walk to the lighthouse. Perfect for one night before or after the ferry.
Great site directly by the sea and close to the ferries to Norway. The beach is very beautiful, and the cliffs with the old bunkers are worth a walk. Wonderful sunset. Sanitary facilities are excellent.
