Good stop for £5. We stopped the maximum 2 nights and visited Durham. You must also use the bus at £2.20. Space for dog walk as very little traffic. Road noise but felt safe and slept well. We parked in middle green bays as further from the road. Level and safe. Translating
Good park up. Used bus into Durham £2.20 return. Toilets by park and ride stop closes at 7pm. Barriers went down at 7pm opened at 7am. Parking free after 7am. Only issue was road noise which quietened down around 1am so take ear plugs!Translating
Very convenient for visiting Durham. Be careful not to make the same mistake we did. We arrived at 7:30 p.m. and, when trying to pay with PayByPhone, the app selected one day (there was no option for one night), so parking ended at 7 a.m. the next day instead of 7 p.m., even though it was free during the day and logically should have extended until 7 p.m.!Translating
Great stop over, used twice now, yes some vehicle road noise but dies down later at night. almost flat large pitches. Petrol station/ shop over the road (take care can be very busy). Meals at Ramside Hall over road recommended. would definitely use again Translating
Just be aware, the carpark gates are locked overnight and remain locked all day on Sundays - no access when the buses aren't running.Translating
£5.15, quiet and secure pitch. The road is nearby, but we slept very well! Ideal for one night before continuing the journey!Translating
