Been here?
This free parking area is on a dead-end street beside an elementary school, with a swimming pool nearby and restaurants about 20 minutes away on foot. It can be quiet at night and has been used for overnight stays, but recent reports found it crowded and locals asked visitors to leave. Earlier visitors also reported attempted door opening and other security concerns.

Parking was full, and locals chased us away... Maybe we just caught it on a bad day.
I parked my station wagon there for almost three days, sleeping in it for two nights. I had no bad experiences, quite the opposite: it is a quiet and free place at the end of the street. Next door there is a swimming pool with excellent facilities for doing some sport. The centre is a short walk away.
It is a dead-end street, easy to access, with paid parking on one side and free parking on the other, by the school, with room for many cars. It is very quiet with little traffic. There is shade and overnight parking is possible.
Very bad experience! While we were sleeping, two individuals tried to open the door intending to rob us! The area is somewhat dangerous; I do not recommend it.
As described, parking in front of a school on a dead-end street. Quiet, yes, but dogs bark quite a lot at night and in the morning locals come to park. We stayed for a day and a half without any problems.
Spot as described before, really quiet and secure We walked 20 minutes to arrived where you can find many restaurants
Parked for two evenings, from 6 p.m. to midnight, to visit Porto; Campanhã metro station is a nine-minute walk away. I also slept there one night during the school holidays: very quiet. I had no problems.
Good parking area; there is usually always a space available. You just have to watch out that people do not dent your car when parking beside you.
