Unnamed Road, 24351, Damp
Been here?
Dorotheenthal is a well-kept campsite about 100m from the water, with clean sanitary facilities, friendly reception and a bistro serving generous, fairly priced meals. Strandside pitches are available for an extra charge, but the dune blocks the Baltic Sea view. Campers have the usual required facilities, with bathing, fishing and a slipway nearby. Damp is about 5 minutes away by bicycle, and Kappeln is also accessible.

Very nice welcome and lovely site. We spent two nights near the beach, for an extra charge. I felt very comfortable from the first minute. I will definitely come back.
Very friendly welcome. We were offered a place in front of the entrance, which was fine, but we could also have chosen another one. The bistro is highly recommended: large portions, very fair prices and delicious food. The site is absolutely recommended, even if Damp is not necessarily the most beautiful place on the Baltic Sea. We will gladly return.
Very orderly site, well maintained, with good sanitary facilities spread across three buildings. Friendly service from the owner. If there is space, you can choose where to stay. The location is convenient for cyclists, and you can reach Damp in five minutes. Kappeln is also easy to reach. All at a good high-season price.
Basically a good campsite. Excellent sanitary facilities, tasty bread rolls and a nice little shop. Somewhat unusual is that rubbish can only be taken out from 10 to 11, and the front sanitary building is cleaned from 9 to 10. The campsite and Damp were completely affected by a storm surge in October 2023, so it currently looks like a battlefield. It is acceptable, but there are nicer places.
I am here for the fourth time and feel comfortable here! The man at reception is anything but unfriendly; on the contrary, he is very helpful and friendly. Perhaps some people should think about how the saying goes: what goes around comes around.
Very nice site! Be sure to try Nina's ice cream—it is delicious! We stayed on the new section; the sanitary building was new and cleaned twice a day. We will gladly come again.
Beautiful location, but the campsite consists of 90% permanent campers. We stayed for one night while passing through, tightly packed together in front of the campsite. A small, clean and very new sanitary building was within walking distance, but for everything else we were somewhat out of the way. The man at reception was very unfriendly and taciturn. Unfortunately, the bistro was closed on Tuesday. Okay for one night.
The campsite itself is great, the sanitary facilities are clean, and the location is directly on the beach. Unfortunately, the man at reception was extremely unfriendly and seemed to have no interest in new guests. Card payment is only accepted from €30.
